It is very important to take a look at who put the money behind publishing this book and take some of their opinions with a grain of salt as a direct result. Getting past that though, most of this book is a very scientific approach revolving around brain research and neuroscience. They stress the importance between the interplay of nature and nurture over a solid belief in either one or the other. One of the most important pieces here is that importance of early care and nutrition and how it can make an impact in the long run. However, that doesn't mean it is all over, and this book talks about how we can make a change in the brain, but that there is a prime time to do so. Along with this prime time, it includes the negative as well as the positive.
