Moms aren't supposed to swear like truckers or talk about how hard day to day life as a parent is... Or that maybe sometimes (only every once in awhile?) their kids are, in fact, assholes. But The Drunk Mom does. Read Amy's story of teen pregnancy, abuse, depression and learning to live a perfectly imperfect life that she's built a following around. A story of imperfection, chasing dreams and giving zero f*cks.
I stupidly did not look at the page count before buying this book. It's only 75 pages long, so not really even a book. I also felt there was a lot left unsaid and parts were very vague. Example:
"My friend , her boyfriend and I ended up drowning our sorrows with tequila one night, things were done, things were said and we didn't speak for a couple of weeks after that."
Really? This isn't facebook where you can just make vague comments and not elaborate. I would have thought you'd get more details when reading a book.
I rated it "okay" because it was okay. It just didn't give enough details and didn't explain situations enough to be an auto biology in my opinion.
However, it was funny at times and the author was very open with her feelings.
