This would be a very good book to use with young students to give them a science lesson. It focuses only on sound but it does a great job of this. Kids will learn that every sound they hear is created by something vibrating. They learn that faster vibrations sound higher than slower ones. They get detailed but easy to understand explanations of how speakers work and about how ears work. They are even given experiments to try and explore sound with. The illustrations to go with the book seem very cheerful and happy, which may help kids to be more attracted to what they learn from the book. Some of the pictures, such as the the labeled illustration of the ear, are very useful for the reader in understanding the science concepts.
