A collection of personal vignettes highlights relationships between celebrities and their beloved canines and includes stories by William F. Buckley, Desmond Moris, Sally Jesse Raphael, and Fred Rogers
Okay, maybe I'd give this collection of essays, poems, quotes, and short stories 2 and a half stars. Many of the contributors were "newsmakers" back in the '90s, when this was published. The book was intended as a fundraiser for an animal shelter in Rochester, NY, and probably succeeded in generating income for the place. However, as a whole I didn't think it was that great a book. It was easy to read a few of the short pieces before going to bed each night, though, so I guess I'm glad I checked it out from the library.
