Uses numerals for numbers (no words), and everything can always be clearly counted in the photo. The border/page theme matches and should not be counted.

Some counting questions that might come up: are those 8 red lines or 4 interrupted ones? What exactly makes a zigzag if there are 9 of them in this photo? And I'm glad there are more photos at the end that are to open to creativity in counting.

Color is also emphasized throughout the book.

The use of photos from an art deco district is very fun.

This book was about counting colorful shapes. I read it on my chromebook. It was good.
