In this book, Honoo Mori attempts to reshape the discussion surrounding one of the most controversial subjects of our time –– capital punishment. Yet while Mori raises some interesting points against capital punishment (i.e. investigating the legitimacy of the practice through Foucault) the writing in this book seems aimless and mostly unconvincing. What's more strange is that after 300 pages of criticizing arguments for capital punishment, Mori states his support for the practice in the final chapter without providing any reason.
