It is a real pleasure to read an anthology of such well-written and well-crafted tales. There isn’t a dud amongst them. Every one of the thirteen authors who contributed to this anthology has complete mastery of his or her craft.
One story made me cry, several made me laugh out loud – I particularly enjoyed the humour in Education in Action and Word Games – a couple were frankly disturbing; all were intelligently written and thought-provoking. And what a joy to read authors who are so skilled in the use of language.
There are two other books in this series which I haven’t read yet – The Bodleian Murders and The Lost College. I have just ordered them and await their arrival with bated breath.
