Lubetkin hace un conciso pero interesante repaso del papel de Deng Xiaoping en el PCCh y, por tanto, en prácticamente toda la historia del partido y la RPC hasta 1992. La obra resulta sugerente no por las reformas de Deng a raíz de la muerte de Mao -a dichas reformas le dedica escasas páginas- sino por cómo se fragua la figura de Deng dentro del partido y la política china, explicando por qué llega a ser la máxima autoridad en la RPC.

This is an biography if Deng Xiaoping, one of the famous Chinese leader. He have the courage to go against Mao's whole Communism when Mao was in great power. He is father that changes and lead China into a industrial and free maket economy. Also he is the one that come up with the idea of one country, two systems to ajust the problem between China and Hong Kong's politics. This is a good book with many information of Deng in war and off war. The book included the important part of his contribution to China and how he became a leader.
