Sarah Louise Arnold was the first Dean and Director of the School of Household Economics at Simmons College. Her experience in education ranged from the administration of education in the Minneapolis primary schools, Boston public schools, and Simmons College, to lecturing across the country on education and household economics, to writing text books and articles. she was an early educational leader in the areas of phonetics, household economics, and educational administration.
