Francesca has recently ended a relationship with a man she hopes will be her last big mistake. She wants to slink into a cozy old age alone, but the dark-eyed men of Rome are impossible to ignore. I read this book after discussing a project with the author, and it's something that I rarely do, because I fancy certain story lines and genres. That being said, This fabulous book with its romantic settings and eclectic characters really won my heart. It doesn't follow a standard formula, leaving it extremely original. I had a hard time putting it down even when my eyes were closing. It didn't have a Disney happy ending, but it had a real life ending that also left me feeling hopeful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that likes to read a down to Earth yet feel good story.

This is one of my favorite books set in Rome. I identified with the characters and their lives there.
