139 books5,165 followersI'm not exactly sure when I fell in love with books. Probably on my mother's knee listening to her read Dr. Seuss to me. I do remember that I was barely old enough to cross the street by myself when I discovered the delights of the local library. Could anything be more wonderful than spending summer days surrounded by stacks of Nancy Drew mysteries? Over the years I fell in love with Victoria Holt, Jane Austen, Agatha Christie, and J.R.R. Tolkien just to name a few. I read poetry, essays, biographies, and plays. In fact, I read anything I could get my hands on.
Years later (no, I'm not admitting how many) I'm still an avid reader, and my tastes are still as varied as they were in my youth, which I suppose helps to explain why I enjoy writing regency historicals under the name of Deborah Raleigh, as well as my contemporary paranormals as Alexandra Ivy. For now that is enough to keep me busy, but who knows what the future might hold!
I do have a few other loves in my life besides reading and writing, the most important being my unbelievably patient husband, David, and my two sons, Chance and Alexander. Without their constant support and belief in me, I never could have been able to follow my dreams. They are truly my heroes.

Sweet but not for me
It's too cheesy and Insta love is not my thing. I've made it a point to discontinue any book where the male puts his finger over the females lips to "shush" her (eye roll) or any story where the male character actually called the female character "female", as if it's her name. "Listen here, female..." Gawwwd. Enough. Sigh

Not enough
Should of known. They are willing to fight for everything they have. And want. I think I would of liked their stories a lot more. If Raphael story had been first. As well as more info. With that saud. They were good.

Pantera Security League is a great new spin off series from the Bayou Heat series. It continues in the tradition of the main series and expands upon Panteraverse at the same time.
One Down: Cerviel and Hallie are thrown together through dire circumstances. Hallie is a mission that Cerviel must complete at any cost. Too many Patera lives have been lost and he's not about to let another one waste away at the hands of Benson Enterprises. Hallie knows she's different but until she met Cerviel she had no idea just how much. And now they are discovering that there is much more to lose than the first thought. If you are expecting the same passion and intensity as the Bayou Heat series you will not be disappointed
Two To Go: Wow, an alpha female for once and she meets her match too. Elyon and Max are the ultimate power couple. But that little cliffhanger there at the end has really got this cat all curious. What have you guys got up your sleeves hmm?
