Danganronpa Killer Killer (ダンガンロンパ 害伝キラーキラー), previously known only as Killer Killer (キラーキラー), is a manga spin-off connected to Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School.

The manga was debuted on March 8, 2016 in Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine's April issue and released a new manga every month on the 9th afterwards, it was later published as three collections. The manga is illustrated by Mitomo Sasako, with scenario written by Kazutaka Kodaka and Yōichirō Koizumi.

The official timeline of Danganronpa events places it after the events of Danganronpa Another Ultra Despair Girls and before the events of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair.

In response to The Biggest, Most Awful, Most Tragic Event in Human History, an organization called Future Foundation was created to combat the chaos still present even after the death of The Mastermind.

Misaki Asano is a new recruit, working as a special investigator for the 6th Division's Special Case Criminal Investigation Unit, a bureau dedicated to solving the most bizarre and challenging murder cases. Alongside her partner, Takumi Hijirihara, they aim to combat despair one case at a time. Their most challenging case is that of the mysterious Killer Killer, a bizarre serial killer who targets other murderers.

2016 was a plentiful year for DR related content: the upcoming anticipation of the "Danganronpa 3" anime as well as the "New Danganronpa V3" game had fans looking forward to the release dates. This spinoff manga was one of many first releases, with a bit of teasers in terms of the DR storyline and it wasn't until volume 1's chapter 3 that revealed the full title.

The manga's story is simple, with the MC, Asano Misaki joining the Future Foundation branch dedicated for unusual crimes. She is then assigned a partner in which she immediately judges for being a slacker and of questionable appearance. Everything after that is essentially the duo attempting to solve the crimes and the killer being found out along with an over-the-top finish. There isn't much to the story and the simple premise is presented, but as the story progresses things start to fall apart. DR as a whole is unrealistic but this takes it all. The MC's partner, Hijirihara Takumi, displays an unrealistic amount of plot armor, shit in general and his abilities/fighting with his weapon usually involve some sort of bullshittery- main examples being able to dash and move at abnormal speeds, slice things clean off, survive an abnormal amount of damage, one-shot his enemies, and slice off his partner's neck with it reattaching and her surviving. Holy fuck. The other characters and enemies aren't better either, with their motives and general reactions usually presented to be illogical, over the top or crap just for the sake of the story. The organizations and systems such as Future Foundation are never elaborated further on what they do and their functions- In which I'd assume based on the timeline the manga showed signs of being obviously rushed and hacked.

Overall if you don't mind the blazing bullshittery, the occasional IQ drop and are willing to laugh at the hilariously over the top crap, this is an alright read if you just want to turn your brain off.

in which some our old friends from the Future Foundation (my boy Munakata!) and remnants of despair appear . . . as do a few bodies.

dismembered, of course.

I’m out now. I just lost interest and I don’t want to finish for some reason. It was a bit all over the place.

Really good, especially because more characters from Danganronpa 3 appear in Chapter 10. Ends on too suspenseful of a note for it to have ended. I looked and there are only ten chapters in the series.

My god this is the absolute worst fucking manga I've ever read, not as bad as the last volume though.
