This book is a gem.

The Book
It is a compilation of articles written by distinguished jurists. The title is The Art of A Lawyer. And it has all the information that you need to be one. Ranging from the topics of Cross-examination, Advocacy to Courtmanship.

Why you need it
If you are new to the bar with limited budget, get this book!

Even if finance is not an issue, still get this book!

This is your one-stop book that has all that you need to become a better advocate. At an affordable price.

The editors have put a lot of effort to ensure that it covers wide range of topics from advocacy to jurisprudence. And it is not limited to Indian jurisprudence. Irving Younger's 10 Commandments of Cross-examination has crawled its way into the book too.

Usually, if anyone who is interested to learn more about improving skills to become a better lawyer is required to buy additional individual copies of that particular topic that they intend to improve. It could be either expensive or no longer in print anymore. The choices are further limited to books that we can afford and really need.

But worry not, the solution for your woes lies in this books. You have them all in here.

The quality of the materials provided is top notch. It is really impressive and there is so much of wealth of experience and knowledge packed in this 1500 odd pages. It's thick!

Approach to reading it

My approach to reading this book is by reading one article per day. I read it twice. Once in the morning, and another later at night. During my second reading, I take down notes and think about them.

If its really too long, I spread it over two days and repeat the same step again.

I intend to finish this by the end of this year.
