Getting money was all that Cashmere ever knew growing up. Being beautiful with a figure to die for made it easy for her to juggle men and get her needs met. She had never met a man who wasn't impressed by her outer appearance until she met Montez, a married tattoo artist. Montez has more on his plate than he bargained for. He is desperate to start a family with Destiny, his wife of 3 years, but the secrets that she's withholding make that seem almost impossible. A chance meeting from a mutual acquaintance puts Cashmere and Montez in each other's presence briefly. It's love at first sight for one of them, but not so much the other. Cashmere is used to men falling at her feet, but the lack of attention from Montez has her questioning herself as well as the beauty that she's always been known to possess. Take a ride with an insecure young woman and a very outspoken young man to see just how their lives intertwine when they cross paths with one another. Will Montez be able to resist the sexy vixen known as Cashmere or will he dishonor his vows for a taste of her forbidden fruit? Will Cashmere be able accept Montez's rejection or will she continue to pursue something that she can never have? Is Montez really off limits or will he be the man to show her love like she's never known before?
I love Montez. Destiny was a fool. I love Cash's spirit. Just happy she meet Tez. Brian getting the beat down was my favorite. I hate Sam. What kind of mother teaches her daughters to use their bodies for profit. Mrs. Rose
This book had me irked from the start but I enjoyed it nonetheless a side from some mistakes throughout the book the book kept me interested.I just wished they would have elaborated on Sam's neglect a bit more
I must say that you stepped your game up and stepped out on faith with this one.
Where do I begin with this review: well the story line flowed even though there were some grammatical errors but they were minimum. I love Cash she kept it 100 even though she was a low key thot. Cash didn't hold her tongue about how she felt at all and that's what made me like her character.
Montez was real even though he was dealing with his issues he could have handled the situation with a lot better than what he did with Cash. Montez should have been straight up with Destiny and told what the deal was so there was no misunderstanding but she acted like she was slow. If you built a marriage based on a lie, how did you expect for it to end?
For the most part this story line left me wanting more and the humor was hilarious and soooo on point. The twins were hilarious and kept me laughing. I can't wait to see what part 2 brings out. Can't wait to see what Bria's hiding. Kudos, you did that ma'am.
This author can tell a great story. You will love it from beginning to end. No editing problems, easy to follow along. I love tez and cash, Bria can't stand her or Sam. So ready for the finale.
Not your typical love story. I loved Cash. Many thinks she is a hoe, but I just think she is misunderstood. Tez is my new boo. Love his realness. Cant wait for pt 2.
Can't believe I missed reading this superb story before!!!
Can't believe I had missed from reading this good story and I am questioning myself because I think I will definitely back pedal into all of the books of MS. Parker when I could have sworn I had read all of them prior. This was a slow, very well developed story and characters and worth the aggravation of moving slow. Cashmere was a piece of work but she prevail and forged through from all of the bad cards she was dealt with. She did add to her demise because like MS. Rose said, not because this is what you see that you couldn't do something different which I think she sees that now. Strong and very independent, a little bit screwed up, but still an honest person, she has everything going on for her...all she wants is genuine love! Montez, man bae all the way but also a little bit misguided but it's all good because he knows what he wants and he is going after it no matter what. Loyal and honest, he is a dream catch to all of the girls out there. All he wants is a family! Destiny (grow up and move on), Kelvin, Rio, Drew, Monee, Marlon, Heaven, Kyla, with the worst being Sam and Bria, I can't wait to see what karma has in store for you. Jayce man, be a man and a cousin and stop behaving like a girl... Sage grow a back bone, please. Now wonder who is Camia's boo and I love me some MS. Rose. Now let me go finish up with the finale so I could do my proper review, because this intro was the bomb.
I was all in reading about Cash and Montez. I couldn't stand Bria and that heffa truly needed to get some business of her own instead of constantly being in Montez's business. I couldn't even feel bad for Destiny because a lot could have been avoided had she not only been honest but not got caught up because of an apology. I really like Tez because he was actually was a good dude that opened Cash's eyes to a lot. Cash really had no care whatsoever and at some point should've wanted better for herself instead of what she was taught. Ms. Rose was definitely God sent even though Cash didn't take heed until it was too late. Tez should've been upfront but hopefully Destiny's feelings won't cause a rift in what he's building with Cash. I'm on to book 2 because I know the craziness is really just beginning.
I love the premise of the book but I have a few issues. First of all, what’s up with the editors. How hard is it to do your job and catch the mistakes. Secondly, I hate when authors have the characters doing things out of there character. For example, with all of that talking that Cash and Tez did what would make him think that withholding pertinent relationship information was okay? That should have gone against his character. So that part was hard to believe. Then, the very fact that Cash decided to deal with Rio. As savvy as she is, you cannot tell me that she didn’t know he was going to be a problem. Again, to me that goes against her character. So with all of that said, I love Chenell Parker as a writer and will continue to read her books. Also, one more thing, Cash is so ratchet, it’s hard to read.
This book was on point. So glad that Montez left Destiny's lying self alone. She was such a follower had she been honest from the start and stayed away from Bria's messy self she would have had a chance. Misery loves company and Bria is a prime example of that. Love the character growth in Cash. Nice to see Tez nurture her and support her dreams. She deserves to be happy after all the drama she had to endure growing up. That ending though I know that Destiny had that stuck face like boo boo the fool 😂😂😂😂😂. She has no one to blame but herself. Can't wait to jump into part 2. I know that Rio and Drew are about to be an issue along with their hating baby mommas. Another great read Chenell Parker.
I know this book is fictional, but its fictional times 10! How does the main hoe not have any consequences for her actions and how does she end up with the good man? Sometimes readers want to read things we can actually relate to, so unless we're all prostitutes we can't relate! Why does everyone else have consequences for their actions in the book except the main hoe? Its so fake I'm not sure I'll read part 2. I normally enjoy this author but this book here is just too fake. The characters are ok but the main hoe needs a reality check and not a happy ending. She has no respect for anyone, but ends up with the "good man" who's not innocent himself! Make it make sense please!
WOW!! This was awesome!! Cashmere is definitely a vixen you’d love to hate but she’s really a little girl lost that needs true love. She learned at a young age to use her body to get what she wants out of life. But as she’s growing and maturing she realizes it’s more to life than that. BOOM! She mets Montez and she finally gets a taste of what a real man is.
I want to feel bad for Destiny but honestly she’s a simple broad that lied and trapped a man into marrying her AND she’s letting another female, Bria, interfere all in her marriage. I can’t wait to see how this story ends!
Oh what a ending!!!! Everything about this book was excellent and loved every minute of it. Tez was the right fit for Cash and I'm glad they are in each other life's. I just know it's going to be a problem now that Destiny know who exactly carrying Tez baby. Excellent job Chenell Parker it couldn't have been better.
I didn't start of liking this too much, but as I read on, I found myself becoming more engulfed in Cashmere and the rest of the character's plots. They start off as off putting, morally corrupt individuals, but as the layers of their personalities are pulled back, you really get a feel for who they are.
Chenell did that!!! I swear I have never been disappointed with Chenell’s work and this book here so no different. Jammed packed of drama and suspense that will keep you wanting more. I love how each character is developed and some how connect to one another. Love Ms. Rose! Can’t wait to read up part 2.
As always Chenell always deliver! I ain’t gone lie at first Cashmere was getting on my last nerve before I got deep into the book...poor girl had been thru the ringer and it’s sad that her mom was not an good example to follow once she learned the ropes of life... I’m so glad Tez was her knight and shinning armor or is he??? Lets see as I get started on part 2!!
I gave this book a 5 because Chenell Parker always delivers a good juicy story. Her books are just in a league of their own. I don't always relate to the ratchet aspects of them, but they are like city soap operas and they hook you in. If she keeps writing I'll keep reading.
Cash needed to grow up she was to old to be selling herself instead of finding a job I understand thats how she was raised but she should have wanted better for herself.. I felt bad for Destiny even tho she should have told Tez her situation before they got married.. Bria needs a life im sure her husband is cheating on her he aint no offshore that much.
Besides a few errors this book was awesome!! Cash was a straight up garden tool lmao but I'm happy she met Tez and I was so sick of hearing about how she was raised I thought I was gonna throw my tablet Lmaooo this author know she has a funny and wild imagination but I love it
I really enjoyed this book there was a lot going on in book drama all over the place. Love Tez and Cashmere can't wait for the next book to see what happens with their relationship.
This book was well worth the read. They always say you can't turn a whore into a housewife, proven to be just an old adage!! I loved all the characters in this book and all their drama!!!
I could admit I didn't like Cashmere and her way of thinking in the beginning but thank you GOD she met a real man to show her love. Sometimes it takes us to go through hell and back to find love and happiness.
Cash was something else. She was working my nerves for a second acting like she couldn't understand how these guys were catching feelings. And her Mom, uggghh!!! This was good, on to part 2.
I highly recommend reading this book. This book is so good. I love Montez. He is a woman's dream man. My heart aches for Cashmere. I pray that they have their happy ending. Destiny needs to get a damn life and move on.
I am loving the ride. Great read. I am ready for book 2. Let's go. Seriously great read. Love the characters. I hope Sam dies. She's triflin as hell. Keep writing sis!!!!
I’m speechless. This book was fantastic. I laughed, cried & got angry. The love story behind the drama was on point. And I’m not into love stories but this book! OMG!!! I’m so rooting for Cash & Tez. Chenille! Girl you did that, Boo!!!
I like the flow of the book but I'm just so sad for destiny. I mean he moved in so quickly. I get she kept the baby thing from him but it was like he was looking for excuses to leave especially after meeting cash.
Really good book! I love how Tez showed Cash her worth! She’s definitely been through a lot! Destiny just needs to let it go. And Bria just needs a few more run in with fists!
Ok CP books for me are not or miss. I'm going to say that the story concept was entertaining and 👍good. However, the eyes not needed details and the layers of repetitive nature of the characters drug the story for me.
Man, if the entanglements are not entangling, I don't know what these people are doing. I've been on a binge with all these messy books, and this one is super messy. Let me mosey on down the entanglement line.
