The Forgotten Ones is the story of SOBA Recovery Center founder and CEO Greg Hannley. This autobiography details Greg's amazing life from being forgotten and left on a military base by his family at the age of five, to a free spirited entrepreneurial childhood in Arizona, to a nightmarish battle with drug addiction for much of his life. The author writes candidly about his battles with addiction, about the loss of several children, about his forays into the boxing world, and about a depression and loneliness so deep, that it nearly led him to suicide. The Forgotten Ones is a story about overcoming life's obstacles, about God's hidden hand in each of our lives, about hope, perseverance, and the hidden destiny that our Creator has in store for each of us. The Forgotten Ones is ultimately a story about faith. God gives each of us a mission, and it was only once Greg discovered his, that his life changed.
A former Tiger King-boxing-manager, addict now substance abuse facility owning businessman. I'm not sure Hannley is entirely forthcoming. Sure he spins a wild tale, but how much is exaggeration and how much is trying to cover up real crimes?
Greg describes in great detail his hardship in becoming the CEO of a company that he was exploited by and in the process became a poly substance abuser.
Excellent story. I finished it in one sitting. Couldn't put it down. God works in amazing ways. Greg Hannley went through hell to come back a person who would help and save lives.
