This book was an easy read although it made me physically uncomfortable at some points, but it really does put you into someone else’s shoes of what they’ve gone through in life. I just didn’t love all the details😬

An interesting novel, easy reading and enjoyable.
Perhaps I am biased as the story is set in Cape Town, and when one knows a place so well it makes a book more mentally visual.

A story about Carla, a beautiful bipolar girl and her mother, Anna. Not sure who is the sadder character of the two actually.
Sad and so true to life, the confusion she goes through, her journey from one doctor to another, with her ultimately ending up in an institution where she starts seeing her life more clearly.
This was an inspiring novel which proves the old adage that with patient-compliance bi-polar patients can live a normal life.

Excellent book and I will definitely be looking for more Rosamund J Handler novels.
