This book is useful in outlining the fullness of what discipleship is intended to look like, and it highlights each category which can in essence be used as a diagnostic feature for determining the health of discipleship.
As laid out, discipleship begins with belonging to Christ, community, and a church. It continues through incidental and intentional transformation, and ultimately causes the disciple to expand outward in service to the church, neighborhood, and world.
This book also lays biblical foundations for each of these sections, and provides practical insight and application for the material covered by the book.
This book is a useful read for someone trying to understand the full scope of discipleship.
