SYNOPSIS: Young Doctor Julie Pallister took a job as a locum in Wales - and thereafter nothing but trouble seemed to ensue! To begin with, she had not expected to meet with such hostility from her patients, who, annoyingly, made it plain they preferred to be treated by the other doctor, Ben Tarrant. Someone else who clearly preferred Doctor Tarrant was young Pat Penry, daughter of the doctor for whom Julie was acting locum - but it was Julie who, willy-nilly, got involved in Pat's troubles and had to take the responsibility of keeping them from Pat's parents. And if that were not enough, Matthew Byars, Julie's old love, turned up - married now, but evidently expecting Julie to take things up where she had firmly left them a long time ago. Yes, Julie had a lot more than her patients to worry about now!
