Raising a Trailblazer
Put on your hiking boots and get ready to walk the challenging “Teenage Years Trail” with a seasoned trail guide who is well prepared to teach you how to encourage your teenager at critical mileposts along the way. Virginia, along with her daughters, clearly and creatively communicates how to lovingly guide your child to choose godliness, purity, and purpose as they embark on this hazardous trail. This is a much needed and relevant book for our times when it is so easy for our children to be led down a wrong path. Reading “Raising a Trailblazer” will not only equip you to blaze the trail and bless your teen, but it will also give you the confidence and tools you need to enjoy the hike.

A short and delightful read. It is filled will thoughtful ideas to incorporate into your family and to get you thinking of ideas of you own. The book has a powerful message of instilling spiritual values into our children and living out those values personally as examples in your home. I was very moved by this book.

How to get from here to there is a question which surfaces time and time again during the journey of life. Whether it be in the arena of finances (from instability to security), maturity (from childishness to wisdom), contentment (from grumbling to gratitude), we are challenged all along the way to make positive passages and transitions.
Easy read, easy examples, powerful messages!
Cannot say enough about this book and the Author. She leads a life of example and her children follow in response to her example. This can be read at any stage in raising children. I applaud the Friesens for there Fundamental values and steadfast devotion to ministering to families, couples and parents.

Having personally seen the outcome of Virginia's grown daughters and what godly women they are, I was excited to read this book. Virginia's plan for marking important life passages (trail markers) is great and something we will definitely be doing no with our kids!

A great list of ideas and encouragement as we grapple with how to transition our first to adolescence.
