Having never read any of this author's books before, I had no idea what to expect. Suffice to say, I wasn't disappointed.

I loved the storyline, which drew me in from the first chapter and kept me gripped right to the very end. There was lots of suspense and tenseful moments, I couldn't turn the pages quick enough in order to find out what would happen next.

The story was told from two different characters Sarah and Kelly, which I liked as it really gives you an insight into the character and their individual stories.

Brilliant ending, was all very well written throughout and an excellent book cover which I thought was very eye catching indeed. I'm looking forward to reading more books by this author.

This is my first read from Karen and it won't be my last. An interesting and tense start that through the story eventually reveals the truth that is being hidden. I enjoyed the two different views of the lead character Sarah/Kelly as she slowly shares her past and fears for the future.
Pass me the handcuffs and clip them on to me and the delectable Ryan, a uniformed book boyfriend - Yes please!
No spoilers here but have to say the ending had me turning the pages even faster. A great read.

An interesting read.

This was an interesting, fast-paced read. I could tell from the start that Sarah was Kelly, so no twist there, but I certainly didn't see the main protagonist coming. The action scenes were done quite well. I wouldn't have minded a slightly more fleshed out romance, but overall, this was a good read.

What a heartfelt tale of abuse, growth, and persistence.

While I had a little bit of trouble getting into the style of prose (the dialogue holding me back a bit) I came out of this novel feeling like I really had read something powerful. The plot is gripping, especially since both points of view are run in parallel, reading the abuse alongside the recovery and the fear.

As you slowly begin to realize the two women are - spoiler-ish - one and the same, you see the long term effects of what emotional and physical abuse can do to a person. We see a strong woman doing what she can to survive, including becoming a collector of 'protection' money at the command of her boyfriend, as well as how this event in her life sent her into hiding, closing her off to the world. It's so hard to think that this is the day to day life of some women, but the author did a great job of keeping it real, relatable, and memorable.

In the modern day, Sarah struggles to hide her old identity, using Yoga as a coping mechanism. But will she be able to trust again? To fall in love? The ever patient detective Ryan (he puts up with a lot) is the book boyfriend any girl wants, so if you're looking for romance, you've come to the right place.

All in all, while the style was a little, dare I say, clunky to me, I quite liked the plot, and the character growth. It's not easy reading tales of abuse, but stories of recovery give hope to us all. Well worth the read, and the ending makes it worth your while.

There is a lot of action in this book and some scary parts too. When we meet Kelly she is the girlfriend of a criminal named Johnny but she does his books and he makes sure she is loved. When Johnny decides to expand the business he tells Kelly she is gonna start collecting on the loans and she has to do it or else. When she has to collect from this woman named Sue she gets a really bad feeling about her but Sue pays her so Johnny is happy. Johnny decides he is gonna throw a party and gives Kelly a credit card to buy a fancy red dress but when Sue sees her in the window she attacks Kelly when Kelly isn't looking. Kelly is beaten so bad she has a stroke and has to have therapy for a long time then one day Kelly is gone.
Sarah and her friend Abby are happy roommates until someone throws a brick threw the window of their apartment. The brick has Bitch written on it and everyone can't understand why anyone would be mean to Abby but Sarah is pretty sure they meant her. This story shows how brave one person can be when all the odds are against you and I have to say it kept me right on the edge of my seat.
I requested this book for free from the author and I have chosen to review it.

Domestic Violence is a big issue in the world and it touches many lives every day. This book is scary and thrilling. It captured me and wouldn't let me go. I wanted to see what would happen next with the characters in this book. I loved the cover of this book as well. Everything about and in this book kept me wanting to read more and see if all was better in the end. I was invested in each page and rooting for the ending to be good for everyone involved. * I received this book from the author---this is my honest review*

The Truth Will Out is a story of a young woman whose secret past threatens to catch up to her, and one stuck in an abusive relationship. The two seemingly unrelated storylines come together in a way that’s unexpected and fascinating. It’s an engaging read full of twists and danger, and unlike anything I’ve seen before. It also had a nice romantic subplot that I enjoyed. My biggest “complaint” was that it wasn’t long enough :)

Secret Life

This is a great story of a woman who finds herself while in the witness protection program. Unfortunately trouble also finds her. Running from her past, will she ever get to enjoy life again? In the end, just like in real life, everything catches up with her and she is forced to confront enemies she didn't even know she had. Standard HEA as everything works out in the end and she is finally able to breathe and take her life back for good.

I really enjoyed reading The Truth Will Come Out. I liked how the two strands of the story joined together in an unexpected way.

A fascinating story with great characters, plenty of danger, a few twists and a touch of romance.
