It is virtually impossible for me to rate a book about baseball with less than five stars. This book beings together some of the greatest personalities of baseball past with some of the men who helped us enjoy it more. It was published in 1993 so the current stars are missing but that's OK. Baseball is the one sport that honors its past as much as its present. Indeed, a similar book could be put together now with statements about baseball from the current generation because every person who has played the game or watched it in person has a story to tell. Probably more than one.
