Tamara L. Roleff’s book Cocaine and Crack is a good book if you’re looking to learn more about the dangers and impact of these drugs in a clear and easy to understand way. It’s part of the Compact Research series. The Compact Research series means it is laid out in a super organized format. It is perfect for school projects or just getting the facts quickly if needed.
What I really liked is how the book breaks everything down. There’s a section that gives you quick summaries, which helps when you’re trying to get the main points fast. The author does a great job of staying neutral and just giving the information without pushing an opinion on the reader which is good when it comes to such a serious topic.
It also includes real quotes from different sources so you get to see a range of views on the topic. There are visuals and charts that help explain things better which is good if you're a visual person and it even points you toward organizations and groups if you want to learn more and get involved.
Overall Cocaine and Crack is a great book in my opinion and is a helpful and informative book. It’s great for students or anyone who wants a straight forward and fact based look at how these drugs affect just a single person and society as a whole.
