I've had this book for ages on my bookshelf and thought I would re-read and review it to see if it still deserves a space there. I wasn't surprised that so many of the designs are still beautiful today over 30 years later. That Debbie Bliss can sure design, LOL. A couple photos don't show the garment very well, like the Garter Stitch Jacket with Embroidery, and the pattern directions don't help much when it says to embroider the pieces "as in picture." But for the most part, this book has a lot of items I'd want to stitch up—when a little one comes into my life.
These designs are all gorgeous, the only thing I was not thrilled with was the scale of the work, some of the textured knits might have looked better with a finer yarn worked on smaller needles for such a small wearer. I'll probably borrow some of the charts to use in my own designs.
