Sometimes life deals us some devastating blows. At times, it’s at the hands of those who say they know and love the Lord that we’re mishandled and mistreated. Despite these painful experiences, God gives us the strength to champion through circumstances that are beyond our control. On her quest to know the Lord and develop a personal relationship with Him, the author, Tenaria Drummond-Smith, encountered opposition often and in many forms. However, she continued to move forward in obedience to the Lord and by the leading of his Spirit. God has truly taken the good, the bad, and even the ugly, and caused it to work together for her good, as He always does for those who love Him (Rom. 8:28). Even as the tale of events surrounding Joseph’s life were meant for his demise, so it was with Tenaria, who has forgiven those who yielded their vessels to be used by the adversary. In peace, she can look them in the face and boldly proclaim, “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive" (Gen. 50:20 NKJV).
