Minutes after landing at Delhi airport, Pamela Stewart, a beautiful, young American lawyer vanishes without a trace.
Retired Inspector General of Police Ravinder Singh Gill knows that he has only hours to track down and recover the missing girl, his daughter Jasmine’s college-mate and friend. As he digs deeper he realizes that Pamela is only one of scores of young girls who have gone missing. Not one of them has been recovered. Not alive. And those found have had their organs harvested.
The search for Pamela turns even more vicious and murkier as the finger of suspicion swings towards Harpal Singh, a powerful political broker with a shady past, and also the father of Dr. Mandeep, a surgeon, and recently betrothed to Jasmine.
Spearheading Harpal’s operation is the mercurial Santosh Kumar aka SK aka The Hammer, a ruthless enforcer who hates Ravinder for killing his father. The battle becomes intensely personal for The Hammer when he realizes that Pamela is the friend of Ravinder’s daughter.
Torn between rescuing Pamela, finding the truth and protecting Jasmine’s happiness, Ravinder battles alone.
Could Harpal be the man behind this deadly gang of human traffickers and organ traders? Could Mandeep, his future son-in- law, be the surgeon who is cutting up these missing girls and harvesting their organs? And why is Chetan, the police officer investigating the case, covering up the facts?
Yet again, India’s literary storm trooper Mukul Deva keeps you turning pages late into the night.

A very engaging thriller written by mukul deva , which has a very strong a powerful villian, SK,who engages in trafficking of woman and organ trade , the novel is very racy and characters are potrayed very nicely , it has all the elements of typical bollywood masala thriller . i liked everything about the book, the plot, action , style of writing but i felt let down by the author in final pages. he appeared in a hurry to wrap up things , so much so that he didnt even write the climax properly , leaving many questions unanswered. but its a must read novel if u enjoy reading action thrillers .mukul deva is a writer to watch for . Spoiler alert . . . . . . SK does so many things to the whole family but i felt he was killed too easily at the end , he was dominating the whole novel right from scene one but i felt justice was not done , he died a very easy death. would have been more enjoyable to see him at least being dominated in last 2 chapters. writer didn't have time to even tell What happend to The bribe talking officer , how harpal singh suffered . it had the potential of being a very good 5 star novel provided these things would have been taken care of
Pamela lands in Delhi to join her friend Jasmine but lands up in the hands of a cruel malicious organ dealer SK aka Santhosh Kumar aka Hammer. It is not a secret that SK is the tool in the hands of Harpal Singh, a political King maker. Retired IG Ravinder Singh, father of Jasmine remains in the middle of the whole game of life and death. The fact that Jasmine is betrothed to Dr. Mandeep, Harpal's son, makes the scenario even worse. Making the plot more complicated is the past of Ravinder when he killed SK's father.
The plot is a complicated one with numerous sub-plots which are interconnected slowly but seamlessly. Initially the readers will be at a loss due to the numerous characters and subplots but as the storyline expands, the outline of the story becomes vivid. Characters craft, like the storyline is a slow process. The mannerisms and back stories of the main characters are developed in the second half of the book whereas the antagonists are lucid from the beginning. The formidable character SK needs a special mention. How his past crafted him as a felon is described convincingly. Yet detailed account on how he battered Pamela, and his wife as well as the pathetic condition of the victim, along with the apathy of the predator was outrageously mysogynic. Ravinder's angle with Manju was distracting and as I have mentioned in my several reviews, unduly squeezing in romance in thrillers kills the fun. The climax is predictable. I seems like the sequence was taken directly from some Bollywood Movie.
My Verdict : Overall the book is entertaining and thrilling barring some clichés and commercial elements

Ravinder Singh is a retired police officer. When he looks into the disappearance of Pamela Stewart, his daughter’s friend, he uncovers a plot of trafficking and organ harvesting that goes much deeper than what he initially thought. Investigation and suspicion leads him to Harpal Singh and Santosh Kumar. However, Harpal Singh is a powerful man and Santosh is a ruthless one. Will Ravinder Singh be able to solve the case and put the perpetrator behind bars before it is too late for him and his daughter?
The plot is complex with sub plots going on parallelly. For instance, Ravinder Singh is investigating Harpal Singh while his daughter is Engaged to Harpal’s son Mandeep. So, things are more than complicated for Ravinder and his investigation into not only Pamela Stewart but also the other missing girls who seem to be connected to this case. While both human trafficking and organ harvesting are serious issues in the modern-day world, the author could have with dealt the issues with more gravity. The characters are well developed and each character is placed in the story just so they can contribute something. I liked Ravinder Singh’s character quite a bit and understood his dilemma. Though his intelligence does not really get a chance to shine through as in this case he mostly stumbles across things quite accidentally. It was like the antagonist was doing half his job for him. The antagonist’s character though needed some more work towards the end as I felt that all the buildup he got wasn’t really justified at the end. He seemed to get what he deserved a bit too easily.
Overall, this book is a brilliantly paced work of thriller. With witnesses disappearing and plot twists being delivered, I was so engrossed in the story that I finished reading the book (and it is quite a big one) in one day.
This book is written from one person keeping in mind that is the protagonist. Characterization of the antagonist is also good as a brutal, ruthless and all bad. I seriously loved to see other characters to blossom. To me that is somewhat missing in the book along with strong woman trafficking and organ, flesh trading circuit. That could have been explored well. Though I liked the way out of office powerful person is shown. I also liked the turmoil in the Gill's character. Needless to say this is a racy story. This is nice to see once very powerful person becomes powerless but still effective to be a savior. This is overall a good one to engage.
This is a fast paced thriller dealing with the very real crimes of human trafficking and organ harvesting. The lead characters are quite well fleshed out and the plot is gripping. I had some trouble with the many coincidences and the rushed ending though. In short, it is a decent thriller that is good to pass some time with and it deserves 3.5 stars in my opinion.
A very engaging story which involves you in the crime happening in the story and keep you turning pages to solve it. Full review on the Blog: http://wp.me/p6THg1-cF
