TW: Drug abuse, addiction!! Please read at your own risk and research more on possible trigger warnings.
Moving, tragic, and hopeful.
These are the three words I can describe for the whole story. I’m really glad Jun managed to get the help she needed. The beginning towards the middle of the story is entirely full of disputes and background stories, of understanding how Jun and the people around her works, along with their respective traits.
I can totally observe that Jun found peace in addiction because there were to other safe space for her to depend on. That’s her way of escapism. Of finding calmness and running away from the reality that never serves her right.
While Mizutani Sensei may had thought he “betrayed” Jun, I do believe that she is happy with the decision he had taken. He did the right thing, and I’m glad Jun is now able to lead a happier life with a stable future!
The interview with Mizutani Sensei & Jun by the end of the story is just the cherry on top. One huge observation I noticed is how Mizutani Sensei has really good memories. Despite having many students under him, he REMEMBERS what they like. Several times during the interview, it seems that Mizutani mentioned a few things that Jun likes, and I truly respect him for remembering everything. He sure has a pure heart. May both Jun and Mizutani Sensei have a great life ahead.
