Ernest's delivery is much better heard than read!

This book is full puns, one-liners, and redneck advice, and while funny, doesn't pack quite as much punch as if coming from the lips of Mr. Worrell himself. Even 30 years later, most of the jokes still hold up, and it's just nice to visit with a classic character from childhood. Trying to hear the lines in my head as if they came from Ernest does make them a bit better, but a lot of what's in this book was probably passed around as chain emails in the early AOL days, so while relevant, it might not hit home with adults who grew up with the Ernest films.

But it's hard to complain when it's a huge wave of nostalgia and it's focused on good-natured fun, KnoWhutIMean?
