This book proves that even the famous personalities that we look up to believe in the presence of God. There are mysteries that our modernized and pragmatic approaches were left baffled with. Reading this book provided an exceedingly fascinating insights into the world of how science and spirituality have be closely associated. From Nicholas Copernicus to Micheal Faraday and Albert Einstein to Srinivasa A. Ramanujan, Dr. T.D. Singh showed the various stances and writings from holy scriptures that supports and establishes the affirmations of realisation of God.
This book incorporates two dialogues of Dr. T.D. Singh with Charles Townes and William Philips. Both of the aforementioned personalities are Nobel physicists whose contributions have extensively and immensely shaped our modern technology. Furthermore, the book is sectioned off into four parts namely Perceiving God, Introduction, importance of science - religion dialogue and personal interaction with God, Laser cooling of atom and the role of a personal God.
From time immemorial there has been a debate that science and religion cannot be used equally in a sentence for mounting to the contradictory thoughts. However, Dr. T.D. Singh shows us that the perception can be altered provided the fact that the concept and research are given enough clear path to flourish together. This was quite an extraordinary reading experience and I was completely emerged in the the conversations that it took place in the book. I got a chance to witness some of most vital answers to the questions that I had before and especially about the Vedantic tradition, this was utterly fascinating.
Anytime in our life, we as a whole have clashed over the subject of having faith in God or not. Generally, we see it to be an otherworldly thing. an idea that is passed on by otherworldly masters for many years. Since it has no total presence, we have seen clashes have occurred numerous a period between individuals of religion and logical foundation. However, what precisely God is? It's not possible for anyone to reply. Not even the science that has answers for practically all that has been occurring in our reality up until this point.
Along these lines, in this book Author has attempted to gather a couple of hypotheses by utilizing his insight on the experiences of Vedanta. What's more, he has likewise incorporated the meetings of two conspicuous researchers and their perspectives on the more prominent force. In these meetings, he didn't possibly inquired as to whether they put stock in God or not. Yet, has required a push to investigate different human viewpoints identified with science like bliss, confidence and religion. Both the researchers have conceded that there is some extraordinary force that had made the universe and had enabled people to feed it. They have likewise said that having confidence in something magical is truly significant. As they can just clutch their presumptions while testing and expectation that it will work decidedly. Since regardless new data shows up with the new outcome, in science nothing is supreme.
The show and language utilized were bolting to the point that I was constrained to wrap up. I prescribe this book to the individuals who need to peruse something extraordinary and beneficial.
The language of the book is straightforward which I like in any anecdotal book as it makes the plot more significant. I prescribe this book to everybody.
I bet everyone of you must have ever battled with this thought , Who is God? Is he reality or an illusion? What if God is between us, if he is a person? Many believe God to be both transcendent (wholly independent of, and removed from, the material universe) and immanent (involved in the world). No one can exactly tell. Than there is science which try to reasonate with everything that happens in the universe.
In this book there is Dr TD Singh with two great scientist having a life changing conversation. Book starts with some very famous sayings and quotes by scientists of all'the times. It also have pictures and graphics. Language of this book is rich yet so easy to understand. It's narrative and dialogues are very engaging and you would be compelled to finish the book.
Even if a person is from science background or not, this book is MUST READ.
My fav para- ""That’s right. Some spiritual being or spiritual ideas are guiding us, and we simply can’t conceive of them. There are many things we don’t understand: What is a human? Where is a human? Are we somewhere up in the top of our head? Where is this person? How do we have free will? How can we make choices? And so on. There are many things we don’t understand. There are forces in nature and within our universe that we don’t understand. We have to accept the idea that they are probably there. We can feel and sense them, but we cannot understand them.""
Scientist have been relying on data and experimentation to make sense of the world. But there are still many unanswered questions. There is also a general misconception that signs and religion are the opposite.Be signs or religion they both need a leap of faith and are you ready to take one?
“ For religion ,God is at the beginning for science,God is at the end”
The thoughts ,wisdom ,sincere feelings and experiences of personal relationship with God of two great scientists- Prof.Charles H.Townes and Prof. William D.Philips ( Nobel Laureates in Physics) they share Feinstein perspective vedantic personality aspect of God and how Louis and they just look at them.
From their conversation with his holiness T.D.Singh, we come to know that there is nothing unusual about the scientist being connected to God in a personal way. In fact , many profound scientists who shaped humanity had their own perceptions of God. Nobel laureate Prof.William Philips brings out the striking similarity of Laser cooling to Srimad Bhagavatham and how the unification of science and religion could be a way of getting closer to ultimate world peace.
3. Importance of science-religion dialogue and personal interaction with god
4. Laser cooling of atoms and the role of a personal god
We often have a misconception related to God, people tend to mix religion and god together but how far we know that God truly exist? How far his existence is relevant? How does he look? does he look like us "the humans?" Most of the things are beyond the imagination of human beings! We often tend to believe what is fed to us by the gurus or Babaji's but how far do we know it is true!
This book provides a lot of information supported by facts, the author has tried to support all of his statements with his knowledge on Vedas. In this book, scientist have agreed that there is some power that let the formation of this universe
My take- this was an exceptionally well-researched book, one should pick this book only if they are interested in this subject as well as recommended.
Are God and His Personality mere imagination of the human mind ?
This book is in the form of a presentation of two classic dialogues T.D.Singh had with two prominent noble laureates in physics - Charles Townes & William Philips.
A unique genre of study which connects the Laws of physics and Concepts of spirituality. Being a physics enthusiast myself, this was an insightful and interesting read and provoked my thoughts on understanding the conflict and correlation between different faith and religion with respect to Indian philosophy.
At any point in our life, we all have conflicted over the question of believing in God or not. Mostly, we perceive it to be something spiritual. a concept that is conveyed by spiritual gurus for hundreds of years. Since it has no absolute existence, we have seen conflicts have taken place many a time between the people of religion and scientific background. But what exactly God is? Nobody can answer. Not even the science that has answers for pretty much everything that's been happening in our world so far.
So, in this book Author has tried to accumulate a few theories by using his knowledge on the insights of Vedanta. And he has also included the interviews of two prominent scientists and their views on the greater power. In these interviews, he did not only asked if they believe in God or not. But has taken an effort to explore various human aspects related to science like happiness, faith & religion. Both the scientists have admitted that there is some great power that had created the universe and had given human beings the power to nourish it. They have also said that having faith in something mystical is really important. As they can only hold onto their assumptions while experimenting and hope that it will work positively. Because no matter what new information comes along with the new result, in science nothing is absolute.
To read this book one must not have a scientific background but an open mind. This is simply a matter of understanding different point of views. The presentation and language used were so riveting that I was compelled to finish. I recommend this book to those who want to read something intense and worthwhile.
“An equation for me has no meaning unless it represents a thought of God.” – Srinivasa A. Ramanujan
For us, humans, the supreme being or God is perceived in numerous ways. For some, God is the omnipresent power whereas for others believe in the personal conception of God.
“God Is A Person” is the compilation of conversations between Dr. T. D. Singh and two Nobel Laureates. Charles H. Townes and William D. Phillips, on subjects ranging from the relationship between Science and Spirituality to the conception of a personal God. Being scientists working in the field of science and its development, it was fascinating for me to understand how they perceived God and how forthcoming they were in accepting a spiritual inculcation in the various scientific dimensions.
Even though scientists are generally perceived as people lacking in a moral sense and skeptical of spirituality, the perceptions of the two scientists here present a very different picture that is not only inclusive but also comprehensive. The ideas of God being personal, every individual having a personal relationship with God, and its importance have been thoughtfully acknowledged and discussed in the book.
Another aspect that always impresses me the most about these conversations is the mutual respect these individuals have for each other as well as for their fields of study and beliefs. These conversations depict sharing of ideas rather than imposing them on each other and that for me is the best thing.
Having read quite a few books by Dr. T. D. Singh, I have become a curious follower of his thoughts and ideas as mine and his field of study is similar. This book definitely is another very important addition to my collection and a highly recommended read for all the inquisitive minds out there.
Book - GOD IS A PERSON Author - Dr. T.D Singh Genre - Science , Spiritual Format - Paperback ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Review :
" For religion , God is at the beginning ; for science , God is at the end . " - Max Plank .
🙏 The book , GOD IS A PERSON , is an interview or open dialogues between editor Dr.T.D Singh and 2 nobel laureates Charles Townes , who is inventor of laser and maser and William Phillips , pioneer of the laser cooling of atoms .
🙏 Who is god ? Where is god ? Did he just left once creating this universe ? If not , is he still here ? Is god a person ? Various things happen around us in this universe , we say , it's him he is making them happen , isn't it ! If so , he is still here . Is he in the human form just like us made of different genomes and atoms or is he some Transcendental personality or alien form ?
🙏 Nobel laureates William Phillips and Charles Townes , scientists who made inventions in laser and atoms , have a firm belief in the afterlife of God , in the religion and in spirituality .
🙏 I know it's difficult to picturise science and religion hand in hand , but science and religion both are based upon assumptions , postulates , proof , and faith . There's absolutely nothing wrong for a scientist to believe in God and to assume that God exists even today . That he has personal interactions with us in different forms and one can feel it .
🙏 Reading this book was a difference experience for me . A new genre , new thoughts , and a stronger belief .
Thankyou so much @abhishekvthakkar1010 for this gifted copy . Absolutely loved it 😍

This book totally contains everything about Sprituality and also about science... We can say this is book of mixure of science and Sprituality.. Author Dr. T. D singh..went USA to meet two intelligent scientists...the first scientific is Charles H. Townes who is inventor of laser and maser And the second one William D. Phillips pioneer of laser cooling of atoms ...
📚 The author asks very sufficient question from two scientists.. Like about their beliefs in God... And they answer almost every question of author....And I personally like this book because of this book contains real meaning of Sprituality... I learned that God is not seperated with us... We have intraction with God very prosnally... And also scientists said that "God is wonderful, and when I look at resultss of science, it just increase my wonder at how great God is... " __Phillips
#Qotd Is God Human? There is an old saying in Sanskrit “Devo Manushaya Rupena.” It means God is within human and live in this world in the form of a human to uplift our souls. “God is a person” is a unique and optimistic read to understand God's existence scientifically. Spirituality and Science both are parallel lines. This book is in the form of dialogues or says conversation of author Dr. T. D. Singh with two noble prize winner scientists “Charles H. Townes” inventor of Laser and Maser and “William D. Phillips” the pioneer of Laser cooling of atoms. Both give the scientific dimension to the existence of God. This book gave me a unique experience, the wisdom and personal experience with God of two great scientists amazed me a lot. The statements given by two scientists make this read interesting. Quoting a statement below: “I don’t think people recognize how much we use instincts in science. We use assumptions, or we might call those postulates, which are identical to faith. ...postulates are simply faith. And faith in science is important. ...We have this faith and from that, we make conclusions. Both science and religion have this characteristic. —Townes Overall, this is an interesting and unique read and recommended to all to understand the relation between science and God.

As the book says, humanity is at the crossroads. The book is a refreshing one and helps/ assists a human in purifying the soul somehow as the open quotes penned down in the book have all got a meaning worth learning. With quotes to start with, the book takes one and makes one get indulged in reading a conversation happening between the purest souls alive between us and helps one start evolving with their thoughts. Book holds quotes, images, recommendations of different similar books. There's another saying from the book which actually made me find the book a totally interesting book. God is wonderful, and when I look at results of science, it just increases my wonder at how great God is. There are more such interesting facts to explore in this very book which appears in a manner to bring solace to the mind and to the soul. God is present and there's no doubt in his presence on this planet. One can try out this book although the book and the genre in this modern era might seem old to the eyes but as a human, I would highly recommend this read and suggest a chance to be offered to this book which can actually be a helpful read.
Dr. Singh is a scientist with Ph.D. from USA and simultaneously a Spiritualist. In this book are the accounts of his dialogues with two prominent Nobel Laureates. Charles Townes received the 1964 Nobel Prize in Physics for his discovery of laser and maser. William Phillips won the 1997 Nobel Prize for using lasers to cool and trap neutral atoms.
Together with these people the author has discussed about the congruence of science and religion. Despite of people believing that scientists might not believe in God, renowned scientists like Newton, Planck, Maxwell, Einstein and Faraday, all have had beliefs about God being the supreme being.
This is my second read from the author and I liked this one better. It's easier to understand language and the unification of science and spirituality was a great reading experience. The book has scientific research and facts along with the inspiration behind these discoveries being personal interactions with the God. An insightful, informative and interesting book to read.
God is a person written by T.D singh is a open dialogue with Nobel prize Laureates Charles H. Townes and William D. Phillips. The book opens with the world famous prominent scientist's view on religion and science.
The Nobel Laureate Charles Towns who invented LASER and MASER expresses his view on "𝑰𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑺𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 -𝑹𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑫𝒊𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒖𝒆 & 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑮𝒐𝒅" He explains how he came up with the discovery of the most celebrated discoveries in the field of science and his interpretation of God. He says he feels a spiritual being is guiding us.
The Nobel Laureate Prof. Phillips who is a leading researcher in the field of LASER cooling of atoms discusses on the topic "𝑳𝑨𝑺𝑬𝑹 𝒄𝒐𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒔 & 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒂 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑮𝒐𝒅 " He talks about his personal experience with the field of research and his religious thoughts. He says he considers religion as being a natural part of life.
'GOD Is A Person' by Dr. T.D.Singh is an extraordinary book that talks about God's existence scientifically. It was written in the form of dailogues or we can say conversations between Dr.T.D. Singh with two noble prize winner scientists " Charles H.Townes" and " William D. Phillips".
This book provides an opportunity for us to understand the existence of "GOD" as a person. The author has tried to support all of his statements through his knowledge of vedas. You can find a great amalgamation of viewpoints between these three eminent personalities.
The amount of research done by the author before presenting these facts in this book is quite visible. The entire book is skillfully crafted in the form of questions and answers that gives us a perfect piece of knowledge and ends our curosity to know about the concept.
Overall, It was a wonderful read for me. And I highly recommend this book to those who are interested to know about the existence of "God".
Genre: Science, Religion, Technology, Spirituality As the title suggests the concept revolves around God. From the centuries we have included God in our thoughts, prayers but the question still remained unanswered. Does God exist? So this is a book that contains lots of information, facts that point to the existence of God. The concept has been very well researched. It has a lot of illustrations and photos that gave more thorough knowledge. It has only 4 chapters. The very first chapter contains quotes on God from some Scientists. I finished it in one go. If you are interested to know/learn more about the existence of God with lots of facts that are easy to read and understandable for any age group then you should check it out.
God is a person is a book that connects the law of physics and even the concept of spirituality to form a dialogue about the thinking of two renowned personalities. The Author asks them about their belief in God, about science, philosophy, etc. All in all, it is a really good book and is full of knowledge. One who seeks the answers to questions related to God and the connection with science should definitely try giving it a read, you might find answers in this little book.
