Her first novel is set in Memphis, TN and Breaux Bridge, LA. Her second novel is set in Dallas, TX. She is currently at work on her third.
I enjoyed this book. The writer has characters that really have depth, no cookie cutter flat stereotypes and she writes pretty good dialogue.
Pros
This book pulled me in because it kept me guessing about Felix and his intentions. Monica, Blake and Felix really are great characters. The writing is in a style that actually evokes your emotions in a real way. There was a scene that was so erotic. Well I will just say it was a good scene. And there was a scene so sad that I teared up a little, in a very manly way. The book has a surprising twist that I didn't see coming. It was very well done.
Cons
The ending was somewhat abrupt. Doesn't say book 1 so it doesn't seem to be a series but I want to know about Felix and the other major characters.
The formatting was a little off but fortunately I didn't note any typos at all in the book.
