"She was single, and losing faith in finding a guy at her age that was true. No, she wouldn’t stop believing in love, because she’d witnessed it firsthand with her parents. Her father loved her mother to death, and it showed. Therefore, Key knew that true love existed, but history had also shown her that guys typically took forever to get their shit together. She wasn’t sure if she wanted to love a man past his flaws and all. She hadn’t learned to be that accepting, and didn’t know if she ever would be. Therefore, she felt this overwhelming sense of needing to be selfish, and put her needs first. Basically, do exactly what those niggas do. Whatever the hell she wanted."
I'm reading these books all out of order, so I already know of Keyasia. But really getting to know her has been quite a pleasant surprise. She is so full of life and personality. She definitely holds her own and is so unapologetic. I love Wale for her. I'm so glad I was able to see her grow up and beco.e a better version of herself because Amir who🙄🙄🙄
This book was Everything ....WALE IS BAE that's for damn sure with his craaazzzyy behind!! Key was hilarious and the 2 of them were made for each other!! I love all the characters that came back !! Made me want to Read all those books again!! Great job AGAIN!!
This has to be my favorite book by the author so far. Keyasia is now a grown woman living her own life. She meets Wale unexpectedly and from then on everything changes. I love that I was able to see what other characters where doing. Can't wait to read the next book by the author.
This was a great story. Here we have Raquel and Kevin’s daughter (from The Way it is) Keyasia. The lil crazy bad smart mouth girl is all grown up and she falls for someone who is just as crazy as she is. When her crazy meets Wale’s crazy sparks fly and 💥 an explosion of fun filled reading and a real page turner that can’t be put down. This book was exciting and when Keyasia has her emotional passage towards the end I cried real tears, but that was to be expected, I cried when reading her parent’s love story too. 💯 ⭐️ 📖.
My favorite passages in the book:
“Aye,” he bucked his eyes. “To be alive is to be aware. It’s a dangerous world out here, and I was the predator for way too long to now become the prey.” -Wale
“Been the predator far too long to ever become the prey.” -Kevin
“Nah, this aint an attitude. This is Ion got time for your bullshit-tude.” -Keyasia
If you’re wondering whether or not you should read… THE ANSWER IS YES‼️‼️

I enjoyed reading this, Nicole Jackson did her thing for sure. This was long but well worth reading. It's amazing how the love came from Keyasia and Wale expecially because how they met. I had no complaints and would have enough reading more. Great job
A little bit disappointed... definitely a 3 1/2 stars!!!
I believe this is probably my third book from this author and enough is enough in my view. Unfortunately this author writes about the same thing or it’s always the same type of story: boy meets girl, they both fall fir each other, they are both young and so they tend to be petty and childish, boy is ALWAYS a macho possessive street man who can do certain things that does not apply to the woman, then girl gets pregnant but is totally unaware how this could happen, then too much eye for eye or tit for tat happened and they break up, but boy and girl loves so hard that they come back, yet the issues are still there and they break up, makes more mistakes and finally they see the light and they live HEA with babies and all....... Now I must be honest, I love MS. Jackson penmanship, being that it is so different and so real compare to the other urban writers but I need some changes. Could the male be something like a king pin, or a singer, or a sport jock, or anything else besides a burglar or something off the streets? I mean yes it’s the hood, but is that all the hood produces out there? And the main lady could she be a tad less intelligent childish (if it’s a thing)? I mean she could be the most independent, college educated hood chick for once where she is holding down a real corporate business or job and not being the same cliche hood chicks? Now these are a few issues besides the grammatical errors and all, but I think I am going to take a break and see if any of her new books will change because although I am very happy with reading a 500 to 800 pages of story, when it’s the same redundant story it does become a tad boring and a tad uninteresting....
Keyasia is one of a kind and worth every word on the page!
Wale is handsome, intelligent, charismatic and a hotheaded thug. He knows he’s fine and can pull any woman with those beautiful hazel/green orbs called eyes. But, he met his match in Keyasia. The verbal repartee, sexual chemistry, drama and real love between these two make this book a page turner. Nicole did a great job of character development because Keyasia and her Corinthian seemed more fact than fiction. Sometimes it feels as if Nicole Jackson writes about real life people that she has had experiences with. I’m on the fence about her giving us glimpses of Josairah and Lil Jah, Craven and Jazel and Taraj and Taz’s dramas. I kind of skipped those sections because I already read about them and knew their outcomes. This book was a deep read and 🔥🔥🔥🔥!
This has got to be my favorite out of what I’ve read so far. This and freeze. These two here baby they stressed me all the way out. They were so tit for tat. Even though they both made mistakes. They were so addicted to each other that they couldn’t leave each other alone. Like a moth to a flame like a bee to honey. And don’t let someone try to interfere. I feel sorry for them. Their love was intense, volatile, deep, loving, and sensual. I couldn’t put it down. Phenomenal
This was my first time reading a book by this author and I must admit this was an awesome read. I liked that this was a whole novel. That entire crew was something else. I loved all the couples. Especially Wale and Key, they did not play on either end but I was glade when they realized they belonged together.
This story was definitely one of my favorites. I sea this book so slow that way it wouldn't end too soon. Keyasia is one of Nicole Jackson's best female characters besides her mom. I loved Wale as well. He kept it real and never was different at all. Great job!!
This book was just a good as all of your other book and I'm so happy everyone got a happy ending . I love how all the characters and some how related to one another and we get to read about them too now I can't wait to read your latest book
Absolutely love these two characters. Wish the book gave more detail like on some of the other characters that were introduced. I want to hear whales boys story. Love this book.
Im a huge fan of Nicole Jackson, read almost every book. It was so cool reading all of the older characters in this book and remembering reading their stories before...... Craven and Jazel were a damn trip!!! Cant to read more!
This was a good read. I really enjoyed the storyline and change of characters personalities with Keyasia and Wale. I like seeing the old characters in very positive way showing maturity and growth.
I don't watch rachet T. V. But I can read a rachet book that is well written everyday all day. Ms. Jackson does' disappoint. She always provides a beautiful love story and that's what I'm about
This series was funny, nothing but the truth, real life drama! Loved every minute of the book! All the characters were hilarious, so happy i came across this series! Definitely a must read!
This wholeeeeee book was bomb 💣.... definitely a page turner and plenty of laughs. I’m glad everything worked out for Keyasia cause honey I was so mad about how she handle some things
This book was way too long for me and way too many characters I was ready to stop reading but wanted to see how key and wale ended up I'm glad there was a happy ending and closure in the end but jeez
Yes I loved this book from the beginning to the end.. Wale ass was super SPECIAL right along with his girl Key... I wonder what happened with Kash n his mama?? N Taz daughter??
Keyasia know she was one crazy chick. Sometimes I felt she was doing to much. I felt so bad for taz daughter. I'm glad wale listened to her n the end. Great read
