Do concepts in classical and quantum physics have relevance to the spirit of human existence? In this second volume of poetry by John MacKenzie, the poet questions whether forays into rigorous scientific exploration are simply another form of mythmaking. With brilliant imagery, gutsy humor, and earthy storytelling, these bold and beautiful poems explore the attraction to a scientific master plan.
John MacKenzie was born on Prince Edward Island in 1968. His first book, Sledgehammer and Other Poems, was shortlisted for the Atlantic Poetry Prize and the Gerald Lampert Award for Best First Book of Poetry in Canada, and received rave reviews.
