Loving Bear - a hot new paranormal shape shifter romance!
Jess Bevan works in a florists by day and studies at night. Life is pretty simple and that's just the way she likes it.
But when Nick Ford comes to work as temporary manager at Tulips Are Better Than One, everything changes. He's arrogant, annoying - and also the most attractive man Jess has ever met. He's the one complication she can do without.
This standalone paranormal shape shifter novella is a follow up to Running Bear and is hotter and steamier than ever! If you love sexy bear shifters, you won't want to miss out on this.
Jess is working so hard to finish school and support her mother and younger brother. She's very dedicated to her job as an assistant to Shelby, the owner of Tulipa Are Better Than One, a flower shop. Shelby is going away for a week and in doing so, her boyfriend Caleb has arranged for Nick and two others (Matt and Justin) to help out while she's gone. Jess finds out Nick will be her manager via a text from Caleb. This starts things out badly for Jess as she assumes she would have been in charge and that the 3 were just there to help out. Some parts of this story seemed a little rushed, like how quickly Nick went from treating Jess quite badly to wanting to learn more about her, getting to know her better. Then, towards the end, everything seems just too rushed. The pace seems almost frantic towards the end. All in all though, a fun quick read. I received a free copy of this book, but my review is my own honest opinion.
Jess has a lot of responsibility. She takes care of her mom and brother, works full time at the flower shop, and goes to college. She doesn't have time for a relationship. The first time she see's Nick she thinks he is gorgeous. Until she finds out that he is her new boss for awhile. He treats her bad at the beginning. She doesn't seem to do anything right for him.
Nick is trying to hide his feelings for Jess as much as he can. He is her boss and it won't be good to have a relationship with her. Seems that fate and dreams have another idea and they won't be denied. I didn't like Nick at first but as soon as I got to know him more he grew on me.
I wish I could find me a shifter like Nick. I liked how the author brought these two together. It gave me a great feeling as I was reading this book. I can't wait to read more by this author.
Jess Bevan, while working in a florist shop finds what a Loving Bear Nick Ford can be when he comes in to be the temporary manager of the shop. Jess has trouble trusting Nick after he treats her with constant criticism as the new manager. For a shifter romance Loving Bear has a lack of flow in the plot that could be improved. They move from total dislike to romance way to fast with very little verbal communication to get them into a successful relationship. I did like the happy ending and how sweet Nick turned out to be at the end of the story.
Nick knows Jess is his mate he’s having a hard time accepting an convincing her of that .
As the owner Shelby of her florist shop goes on vacation with her man he provides extra help for the shop while their gone . Nick as the acting manager while their away an Matt an Justin filling in as extra help, an of course Jess Shelby’s assistant all time partner . The atmosphere between Nick an Jess are explosive all the time which has Jess reeling an off balance all the time .
Another fun, fast-paced story. Caleb asked Nick to manage Shelby's shop for a bit. Jess was crushing on Nick until he started being rude and treating her like she was worthless, but she couldn't afford to walk out, and it was only for a few days...right?
Nick, Matt and Justin try to come into the shop before it opens. Jess tries to stop them but they barge in and tell her they are there to help while Shelby is on vacation. There is a lot of friction between Nick and Jess but she dreams about him.
For me this was a quick read and very enjoyable. There were some funny moments and though there were many characters it centered around the couple the entire story.
Title: Loving Bear Series: Love Laid Bear Destination: Book 2., 144 Pages, StandAlone Author: Amber Belmont Reviewer: Ingrid Stephanie Jordan Genre: #PRN #BearShifter My Score: #5Stars☆☆☆☆☆ ♡•°•♡•°•♡•°•♡•°•♡•°•♡•°•♡•°•♡•°•♡ See you just never know the changes that will happened for you. Wow was this book really hot, this writer let us know that your dreams may come true. And watch out when they do. Jess Bevan has worked in Tulips Are Better Than One Florist a long time. Thank goodness too, between stuffing for finals and helping her mom with her little brother it sure has helped her life. Then Shelby, her boss decided to take vacation time which was fine but her new man sent three men to take her place. Woooooo one man was seriously a hot hunk actually they all were but the now manager had her drooling. Then he started to get on her so much so she really disliked him. To make matters worse the dreams started, with each dream it became even harder to concentrate. Nick Ford owed a favor to Caleb, when he called and asked for help, Nick was happy to come to San Francisco from San Diego. Than when he got to Tulips he realized he was in BIG trouble. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
**I voluntarily received an Advance Reader Copy of this book**
After reading Running Bear (the first in this series), I was kind of hoping we would get to see a bit more of Caleb and Shelby and about her "special magic" she seems to have. However, Loving Bear is centered on the developing relationship between Nick and Jess.
Jess has worked for Tulips for One since Shelby first opened the doors. Her paycheck is what her family depends on to help keep food on the table and a roof over their heads. But Shelby is determined to finish her schooling and help out her mother as much as humanly possible.
Nick has florist chains and restaurant chains all around California. As a favor to Caleb he comes in to be temporary manager of her store. From the minute he laid eyes on Shelby he knew there were feelings, but not how much.
What I didn't really like was there wasn't much character development. We knew a bit about Jess from the previous book, but we're pretty much in the dark about Nick.
