Lovely sun-drenched illustrations filled with nature scenes accompany a simple story describing how two siblings spend the day. Pippa and Pelle enjoy spending time outdoors and enjoy watching the sun helping the apples grow, counting the number of chicks that have hatched, gathering wildflowers, and observing a mouse fashioning a nest. It might not seem like much of an adventure, but it seems to me the perfect way to spend a day. After all, what could be better than paying attention to the world around you while spending time with your favorite person? This lovely board book was first published in German.
