Although it might seem to always rain in Scotland, this board book proves that this isn't always the case. After all, there is snow, fog, and even a little bit of sun accompanied by a rainbow, and all the more beautiful for having to wait for its arrival. I like the cultural connections here that slyly poke fun at the country's weather. This board book provides a good way to learn about different types of weather while being amused by the expressions on the various characters' faces as they try to prepare for whatever Nature has in store for them. It's fun to challenge the assumptions others have about a place and its weather.
