"Bart Learns a Hard Lesson about Fire Danger" is a story about a character named Bart. He and his friends went for an afternoon hike into the forest and ended up in a scary situation. Bart is very careless when using matches to light a camp fire. He refuses to listen to his friends' warning about fire safety. They explain how quickly a fire can out of control, destroying the forest and harm the animals. Bart gets angry and sets out alone, deeper into the woods. He starts another campfire to make something to eat and forgets to put the fire out while he takes a nap. He wakes up and finds himself trapped; his camp fire had gotten out of control. What happens to him and his friend caught in the fire makes interesting reading especially to see how Bart learns his lesson about fire safety. If you and your child love to read together, then you are going to love this! It is a short, simple story that should hold a kid's attention long enough to make the point. The colorful, cartoon-like illustrations complement the text. This book features bright, full-color layouts with the convenience of the Kindle reading experience with text pop-ups! This bright picture children's book is perfect for bringing up the subject of fire safety with your little ones. Use the story to talk to your kids about this crucial issue. This book provides fire safety messages in a way that is not scary to them. The storybook format makes it easier for you as a parent to read and discuss fire safety with your children. This book has suitable activities which will encourage children's awareness of security. After the story, there are 16 coloring pages, word puzzles, and mazes. It is advised that children ask adults how they discovered about the dangers of fire when they were small. Also, the kids are invited to share what they have learned from the story and send a text or pictures to our website. The idea is for them to try and teach the bear, dog, bunny and tortoise how to avoid the dangers of fire. These activities should help to reinforce what they have learned about fire safety. As an encouragement for doing this exercise, they will receive a free book. Fire is a part of the world we live in, and it is critical topic to teach kids. Playing with fire can be very deadly. Adults leaving matches and lighters within easy sight and reach will increase the child's chance of playing with fire. So parents should do their part by keeping these things out of reach. Fire is a leading cause of death and injury in children ten years old and younger. To protect your kids from being burned or killed by fire or smoke inhalation, they need to understand that fire is dangerous and not a toy. Children under 5 are twice as likely to die in a fire so teaching them fire safety is critical. The topic can be confusing and scary for them, but this book does an excellent job at helping to teach them while making it fun. This is a good book to start the conversation, or reinforce what you are already teaching them about fire safety. It strikes the right balance between story and fire safety lessons, in a single package. Get a free YouTube video and an audio-book recording with your purchase!

A kindle copy was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

An excellent book for children how to handle fire and what not to do.

Bart and his friend Charlie, the dog, Oberon the tortoise, and Bella the rabbit like going out and have fun. This day they decided to go into the near forest. But feeling hungry after a while walking and Bart wanted to have a hot doge, they lit a fire in forest. Bart, not thinking of the consequences, threw the match away.

they had an argument, his friends told him, never to threw a match away, it could lit a bush fires. But Bart became angry with them and so went his own way.

After a while, he was hungry again, and so he lit another fire to roast his marshmallows. And there it began.

To find out what happened then, you have to get the book.

An excellent book with great colourful drawings.

Bart walked in the woods with some friends. They stopped for lunch and Bart lit a camp fire with a match and threw it into a bush. Charlie told him no you must not. Bella told him he needs to be more careful. Put the fire all the way out when your done cooking. Bart was tired of being picked on even though they were just afraid for him and the forest animals. He walked away and after awhile he got hungry again and made another fire. He roasted marshmallows and went to sleep. What woke him up? Was there a problem in the forrest?

Language used not good for young kids

Don't recommend, too scary with rude language. Exactly as terrible as I thought a free book might be. Pay for a book

Would be great for groups of children learning how to NOT play with fire and or to start it for them selves by them selves!

"A Very Important Lesson For Kids"

This is an excellent children's lesson book about the danger of fires ... in this case, forest fires. Bart and his friends Charlie the dog, Oberon the turtle, and Bella the rabbit take a trip through the forest. They stop for lunch in the woods where Bart becomes uncaring about hot embers left on the ground, and also tosses a match into the undergrowth. His friends chastise him and he becomes angry, that is until ... well, you know what happens! Children will learn much about the caution of playing with matches. The illustrations are great for kids and reflect serious emotions and actions. The author also provides you free activity pages of games and coloring on her web page. This is a very worthy story.

Playing with Fire is a children’s book about fire safety in the woods. Bart the bear goes hiking with his friends. He is careless with matches and with fires he lights, ignoring the advice on fire safety he receives from his friends because he is irritated at being told what to do. Naturally, his fire gets out of control, and a serious disaster is only narrowly averted.

This would make a good book for young readers – probably anyone who has been reading for about a year. Less if they are proficient readers. It could also be read to younger children.

The cover art is fairly representative of the artwork in the book.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
