Just what I needed! May be just what you need too.

This is a wonderful book. First, please note, the title is irony - you DON'T suck at bass, no one does as long as they're progressing.

And that is the gist of this book: Not believing the lie that the industry will tell that you DO suck, when you don't so you'll focus on and spend time and money on the wrong stuff.

The rest stuff is playing. Playing with purpose and playing with passion.

And that is where this book comes in - it tells you how to do that.

For me, that means setting goals for each year and focusing on them rather than all the "white noise" that the industry (especially YouTube) throws at you.

This my goals are to learn how to pick with a pick (I was classically trained - that's not covered in that training track) and learning the fretboard to the point of mastering it - ALL of it (another thing that most tracks seem to forget to teach you).

Those are mine, I can guarantee by the end you're done with this book you WILL have yours too.

And above all else - have fun. This is supposed to be fun, right?

Rock on, kids!

I need this book!

Yes, I know that sounds silly to say about a book I own. That just means that, as a bass player somewhere between beginner to intermediate, there is wisdom in this book I will refer to again and again. It was honest, matter of fact, and no nonsense, and as I said, I need that.

This book really helped me over the hump. I have been distracted not sure I was doing all I needed to do to help me play better. If you need the push to get you to the next level, then this is the book for you.
