Inspiring read for anyone who has heard of "Open" anything

Student centered narratives drive this story of how a school district took back their technology through open source software! Fast read with enough technical information to make this long time Linux user happy but explained in a way that anyone could understand! Should be required reading for school IT people!

This book is a must read for everyone in education who has anything to do with computers, either as an educator or as a policy maker.
Knowing there is a world beyond the big commercial companies is necessary to be able to make good policy decisions.
Charlie's book gives very good real life examples of the possibilities of Open Source software in education. It's written in a very accessible style and is a good read for both technical and non-technical readers.
