Carole Rimle’s debut work is a beautiful, witty, and instructive picture book. A charming and hand-illustrated storybook showing children how to recycle. It originated as her high school thesis paper, which the then eighteen year old Carole wrote in German and English. As far as Carole Rimle can remember, writing and painting have been her passion. Unlike other children whose proud possessions have been cars and dolls; her crayons and drawing papers were (and are) for her the great tools of expressing her creativity and a wondrous pastime. She was born in 1991 in Basel and grew up with a younger brother, who depicted almost no interest in reading. Therefore very often she expressed her creativity by writing stories and reading them to her brother. In 2010, she graduated from high school successfully and after a six-month language course in Australia, she completed a hospital internship in the French part of Switzerland. Since September 2011, Carole Rimle is studying human medicine in Fribourg. She is already planning her next work/project. She wants to publish a narrative and painting book in 2012, her endeavour to encourage those children who desire to discover their own artistic abilities and to find out a great little artist in themselves.
