Justice, like beauty, is in the eyes of the beholder. And justice can be a beautiful thing when handed out fairly, or terrifying in the wrong hands. Edward Thatch made a powerful enemy, one who won't forgive, and will not forget his transgressions. Edward may call himself a pirate, and use the name Blackbeard on the high seas, but he doesn't know the true terrors that await him on the horizon. Calico Jack struck a blow against Edward and his crew, one that will wound them for a long time to come. But Blackbeard's crew wants revenge, and they too will not forgive Calico Jack for what he's done. Little does Blackbeard know that there's another foe in his path, one whom he's met before. How will Blackbeard face his weakness and overcome the enemies in his way? How will his crew and friends feel about his version of justice? Find out what happens to Edward in Blackbeard's Justice, and follow his fantasy adventure full of pirates, privateers, and everything in between in The Voyages of Queen Anne's Revenge!

Another good read

The action keeps coming and the story still continues, left me wanting to continue the saga. Can't wait to see where the next book takes Black Beard....

Blackbeard's Justice is the third book in Jeremy McLean's The Voyages of Queen Anne's Revenge series and to put it simply, if you liked the first two, you're definitely going to enjoy the third one.

But I don't write simple little reviews like that.

And Blackbeard's Justice doesn't deserve a simple review.  This is a nuanced book, especially considering that at it's core it's a swashbuckling adventure novel, but here we get to see the dread pirate Roberts...I mean Blackbeard, deal with the events of the previous book, where he may or may not have killed his close friend in a fit of rage.  At the same time, his town has been ravaged by a different set of pirates, who just so happen to be led by Calico Jack, a guy who has some revenge need to begin with, leads some folks who have some revenge need, and just so happens to have a secret identity which plays close to Blackbeard's own personal history, as well as that of several of his crew.

In other words, there's a ton going on here.  And McLean manages to keep the story moving forward while also juggling all these different pieces quite expertly.  As the main cast of characters continues to grow, we get to see each and every one of them develop their own paths through the narrative.  This isn't a crew where everyone follows the protagonist blindly.  In fact, one of Blackbeard's biggest issues is that his crew seems to, more often than not, think he's lost it and is in need of some psychiatric help.

Blackbeard's Justice may be more of the same we've come to expect from McLean, but it also does a fantastic job of keeping the series alive.  What originally began as a quest to find the answers about a mysterious ship has developed into a look behind the madness of Blackbeard and his crew and an attempt to give the reality of the pirating business a good hard look...while making sure there is still plenty of swashbuckling to go around.

It was a good book not great

It was really really long and it went around in circles it got kind of boring at times. I guess I'm kind of sick of pirate books now. I enjoyed when Edward was searching for the keys to his boat. Now always doing is going around killing everybody. I feel I already know the outcome because he's the star of the books. So he's always going to win.

Blackbeard’s Justice is the third installment in a historical fiction series written by Jeremy McLean. This book follows Edward Thatch on his journey to find his rival Calico Jack. Edward wants his revenge after Calico Jack destroys the town that he founded. This journey will cause friendships to end, new enemies to be formed and hearts to be broken. Jeremy Mclean balances raging battles and character growth perfectly in this action packed adventure.

I have failed to rate the entire series of the thee books, now i have rated them all here in. I give them all 5 stars, WHY

Because they definitely deserve it. If you are a fan of action and adventure, be warned, you will not be able to put the entire series down, and if you do, then you will be impatient to come back to reading what happens next. What a great story rto get involved in. Fun in reading, I recommend it to all readers and those who don't read. If you read these, then you will feel a real need to read more and more.
