Great novel, love its contrast in the persona of the couple (Kofi's Parents). Typical African idea of training a child, which personally I will say is necessary.

The book was disappointing. It reminds me fo the old days of by the fireside when Maame Dokunu told stories in the old Ghanaian village story telling style.
From a novel, I wanted something more. I wanted to close the book halfway and put it away but forced myself to read just to see if there was something interesting ahead. There wasn't.

A good autobiography about africai life..the author described his life, his family relationship and his environnment. I was enjoying the feelings of madness and hapiness in the story untill the last sentence.. I wept because somehow i remembred m'y dead father

The Narrow Path is well written and familiar. It reminds me of Things Fall Apart in trying to preserve one’s traditions while embracing new practices. At a point, I feel the stories became repetitive with the same/similar lessons arising.
