As a children's reference book this is excellent. There are seven books in the 'Continent' series. This one thankfully, doesn't make the assumption that Oceania is the continent. The very name Oceania should tell you that it is not a giant landmass. (Australia is the continent Oceania is a region).
I found this book to be very accurate in its account, with headings of: Australia & Oceania by Country. The geography of Australia & Oceania. The History of Australia & Oceania The People of Australia & Oceania Resources The Environment Australia & Oceania in the World today it also includes a time line, a glossary, further information and an index.
the only inaccuracy is in the fact it was published in 1996, so the populations have grown or shifted since then. But on the whole. I thought it was very well put together.
