There is a decent spread of designers in this book, along with a handful of remarkable interviews, quotes, and exceptional scans that you can only see when you are in the industry. Most of the designers here did and still influence modern menswear, even though those who are not frequently mentioned by the press are still immensely appreciated by fashion lovers and insiders. This book was released during the time when everyone was crazily hopeful for a better future, even in fashion, and this really encapsulates that feeling. Nevertheless, I genuinely hate the use of all caps in this book, which sounds excruciatingly like you are highlighting certain words and trying to memorize key words for an upcoming test (and the education system is fucked when students have to learn words by heart to do a test lol). I know that this book's sole purpose is for research, not for the usual enjoyment, but researching should be fun, and the writing should not be too dull, with mixtures of word salads and incoherent information.
