Kosmo's Christmas Delivery

Kosmo, the king of troublesome terriers, takes trouble to a whole new level! He's a one-of-a-kind, corn-on-the-cob nibbling, ice cream licking, always-into-mischief dog. Kosmo's Christmas Delivery is told from the point-of-view of an older, but not necessarily wiser dog, Kramer, who laments the acquisition of Kosmo by his family, especially his girl, Emily Jean. When the inquisitive Kosmo jumps on board the Yellow Package delivery truck a few days before Christmas, Kramer, secretly wishes the pup will be lost forever. He reluctantly agrees to help Emily Jean search the snowy streets of their small town for Kosmo. Through a series of unusual events, the missing terrier finally comes home, but not a moment before his older sibling realizes how much he cares about his young friend.

First, the disclaimer. "I was provided a free PDF copy of this book. All opinions are my own." That done, I read KOSMO'S CHRISTMAS DELIVERY to my two daughters and they absolutely LOVED it. Adorable! Kramer is the older, wiser, someone grumpy dog who loves his family, but he's used to being top dog, not second fiddle to a troublesome pup! Kosmo is a cutie, but his family is over the moon in love with him and Kramer doesn't know how to process his sudden status of un-important!

So when Kosmo actually asks out and gets into the story version of the UPS truck, Kramer is a happy dog. Once again, he's the favorite. But his family is sad. So he "helps" look for the dog...

It is a really cute story and my youngest daughter loves enough she wants a print copy so I might actually become a "verified purchase" of this one. Or one of our relatives might instead if they gift it as a present this Christmas. And speaking of which, this would be a wonderful gift for your favorite child under the tree. Also great for nurseries, libraries, and day cares. 5 stars.

As soon as I received this darling book I read it to my two grandsons, and we all oohed and awed at the drawings, and we all loved the pictures of Kozmo’s tail.
What a perfect Christmas adventure for a dog, wonder if he learned anything about what happened to him. My boys loved that he is a terrier, we have two Rat Terriers and my sister two Jack Russell’s, and their curiosity seems to get them in trouble.
Is there a lesson here? Yes, and what a great learning tool for the boys, what if one of them weren’t here, the other would definitely miss the other. Poor Kramer they said as each petted one of our dogs, and stated that they thought they knew how he was feeling.
They did learn that the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence, and that a scary person isn’t always scary.
A really sweet read to share with someone or ones special
I received this book through Litfuse Publicity Book Tours, and was not required to give a positive review.

Christmas is just around the corner! What better way to get ready than a cute Christmas story? Kosmos's Christmas Delivery is about a dog who has to learn how to get along with a new member of the family. Kramer is not too happy when the family gets a new puppy that they name Kosmos. He is all too happy when Kosmos disappears, but once the reality settles in, he finds himself missing his new friend.

I don't have small kids anymore, but I know that this would be just the type of story that would have appealed to them when they were little. The story is adventurous and amusing. It also has a great message. The illustrations really bring the story to life and fit the scenes perfectly. I would definitely recommend this one to parents and grandparents of young children. It would make a great Christmas gift!

This is a sweet story of two dogs living in the same home. Kramer is an older dog and Kosmo is the new puppy who has just arrived. Of course Kramer is jealous of Kosmo, and we see that story play out in a fun story your kids will love. This is a great story for young kids and for families as well. *I am on the launch team for this book*

My Review:

The whole time while I sat reading Kosmo's Christmas Delivery, I was thinking poor Kramer. This poor dog that had been the one and only, top dog if you will for this family feels like he is a big fat number two upon the arrival of Kosmo. Kosmo, a rough and rowdy new puppy is wreaking havoc in Kramer's world.

Kramer no longer gets all the attention he did before since this new puppy moved in and he wants more than anything for this Kosmo to go away, that is until something happens and he does. Emily Jean and her family wait feverishly for Kosmo's return but what happens to poor Kramer in the middle of the latest Kosmo fiasco surprises even him. We learn about the Christmas delivery that changed everything on Christmas day for the entire family.

The author wrote a sweet book about the present day of two dogs that have to find a way to mesh. I really loved the sweet story and the quirky illustrations.

`Kosmo's Christmas Delivery` written by author Deb Kalmbach and illustrated by artist Joey Palmberg is a fun, short read for all children. It has lots of colorful illustrations and short paragraphs on each page. It could be read by a parent to a child, or a child who can read. It would make a great Christmas gift.

The story is told from a dog's point of view. The dog, Kramer, is jealous of the new dog Kosmo. Kosmo seems to get all the attention even though Kramer has been the family pet much longer than Kosmo.

The picture on the front cover depicts the jealousy Kramer has over the happy, energetic Kosmo. I think the first illustration, in the book, is most effective in developing the story. It shows the daughter, Emily Jean, hugging Kosmo. While Kosmo is giving her doggie kisses, and Kramer is sitting in a chair pouting.

The easily identifiable trait of Kosmo is that he is very friendly and loving. I believe children of any age can sympathize with Kramer while loving Kosmo. I recommend this story to parents of young children and to children of all ages.

Take one mischievous Jack Russel Terrier puppy named Kosmo, add a jealous Jack Russel Terrier named Kramer, mix in a valuable life lesson, and sprinkle in some Christmas joy to create an adventurous story that will draw children of all ages in until the final page is turned. Author Deb Kalmbach crafted Kosmo's Christmas Delivery after her own beloved Jack Russel Terriers, Kosmo and Kramer. She knew they would make great characters in a children's book. After all, who wouldn't adore a soft, cuddly puppy who just seems to find trouble every where he goes? Kramer doesn't find the rambunctious puppy as delightful as his owners.

When Kosmo goes missing right before Christmas, Emily and Kramer go looking for the troublesome puppy. Will Kosmo make it home in time to celebrate Christmas with his family? This is a cute, colorful Christmas story for kids. The family gets a new pup and their older Kramer is a bit jealous of all the attention Kosmo the pup is getting. So when Kosmo runs out and gets in a delivery truck one afternoon before Christmas, Kramer is almost happy. But soon he realizes how much the family misses Kosmo and surprised that he misses him too. On Christmas day a neighbor knocks on the door, and you'll never believe what happened.

This book will be a delight for any child to rad at Christmastime. They will enjoy the bright illustrations likely fall in love with the family pets and celebrate when Kosmo comes home. My daughter was able to read this one on her own (she's nine) and we both enjoyed it very much. Kids of all ages will enjoy this lovable Christmas tale.

I received an e-copy of this book from Litfuse and the author to review. I was not required to review positively.

This is a great read-aloud with young children. It is short enough to keep their attention and has appealing and whimsical illustrations. Both my two-year-old and my five-year-old love animal stories, and the cute terrier and his funny antics was definitely a hit with them.

My oldest daughter could really relate to the theme of jealousy when a new family member arrives. She felt the same way when we brought her baby sister home for the first time. This opened up a great discussion about sibling rivalry and how both girls can share their feelings when they are jealous. We also talked about how each family member is equally important and special, even though they have to share mom and dad's attention.

I highly recommend this book for children, especially for those that are expecting a new sibling in the family.

We are big fans of Christmas and dogs in our home, so when I was given a chance to read and review this lovely children's book I jumped! I home school my 7 year old son and we enjoyed reading this story today during our read aloud time. The illustrations are super cute and the story of the two dogs is a great family read. In this story Kramer is unhappy that his family has opened their doors to a young adventurous pup names Kosmo. He has always been the favorite pet and he is no mood to share that spot with this new housemate.Nor does he want to bother dealing with Kosmo when his adventure begins. My son said he had one critic and that was that it wasn't long enough He is hoping to see more adventures of Kosmo and Kramer come along!
