The Blood of the Infected #3
Twice Bitten, Twice Die
When there’s no one left to hear you scream…
Deaths amongst the survivors are occurring at an unsustainable rate. Numbers are rapidly dwindling. Morale is plummeting. Soon they will be beyond salvation, yet their real task has only just begun. But will anyone remain alive to complete it? Nothing could have prepared the soldiers for what lies ahead. If they thought life was brutal already, they had absolutely no idea…
The vampires are in disarray. Their relationships are becoming blurred, confused and violent. A titanic clash between soldiers and vampires seems imminent but no one’s survival is assured.
In a world where life is unpredictable, the threat from the infected suddenly becomes even more unexpected and menacing. Hostilities are inevitable. Only one thing is certain: there will be blood!

Okay, let's take a deep breath and plunge right in. You knew it was coming. Those who follow me on certain social media or read my blog know I can't but give it five stars. Why? If you are an unsuspecting person, then I'm gonna keep you in the dark. But let's say I have my selfish reasons to promote this book.
This book is a last piece of a trilogy (I guess, the word "series" on the cover probably gives the author open doors should he ever feel like writing more) and we finally get to see who of our favourite characters gets to live and how it all turns out for those rare few in the zombie-infested world.
Meanwile, in the vampire camp things don't go smoothly either and authorities are questioned and deaths occur even in the immortal world. But at least the humans already know for sure the blood-suckers exist and can stop questioning their own sanity and start acting. Because vampires are just another threat since they have a very specific diet, right? Or can they help with the zombies? Should humans eliminate one enemy at a time or kill them all at once?
It's a rollecoaster ride without seatbelts since so many die but hey that's what the apocalypse is about. I advise you not to get attached to characters much. :-)=

This is a Fantasy/Horror/Thriller with originality, addictive pace and a refreshing story telling style. The plot describes a desperate situation for a humanity under threat from Vampires and Zombies. An unlikely scenario perhaps, yet the Author provides clear realistic (within the realms of fantasy), and credible explanations for this unlikely circumstance; it would be easy to assume such aggressors were merely thrown together for effect - definitely not the case as the plot cleverly reveals. Reassuringly, the story adheres an inner logic allowing the reader a reasonable chance at predicting for themselves, possible outcomes of the story as it twists and turns. Despite the book's cover this is less a tale about "fantasy aggressors" and much more about relationships, group behaviour and dynamics; in this area, the author excels with intelligent insight.
It didn't take long to become immersed in Once Bitten, Twice Die. I was certainly bitten by this book and very much look forward to the Sequel!

Having been impressed by the previous 2 books in the series, I was very excited to get the final book and had high hopes the story could be wrapped up in a satisfactory manner. I was not disappointed, the author has balanced the Human v Vampire v Zombie fights well and keeps you guessing all the way through the book. There are plenty of fights, heroic last stands and surprise deaths. I feel there are still many more stories to tell in this world, I want more!

Superb! What a great finale to a fascinating and unique storyline! The only disappointment is that there is no more to read! Hopefully we can see the Blood of the Infected series on TV or the Big Screen. It would make a wonderful Box Set series or Movie. Just Brilliant - I thoroughly recommend to all!

An exciting climax to the series. If you've read the first two you know what to expect but the final instalment cranks up the tension further. Highly recommend!

I stand corrected! This author probably owns several thesaurus and can write prose when he wants to.
Book 3 was more action packed than book 2.
There were several scenes that brought tears.
You can't help but root for this rag tag bunch of humans.
The ending was left unfinished, purposely.
