This is an E-book I purchased from Ellora's Cave. It's more like three and a half stars. It was a nice story and the characters were likable, but it didn't rock my world. I liked the premise of the battle between gargoyles and demons - gargoyles being the guardians of the human race and demons, well, being demons. But the idea of an "infection" and such...the plot was confusing and difficult to follow. Certain instances were not explained and I was left with too many unanswered questions...and one instance that was wholly unbelievable. The romance was sweet and I liked both main characters. Some nice plot twists but again, nothing to shout from the rooftops.

A nice read, but not a "Must".

Back to gargoyles we go. You may remember another book, Midnight Treat I reviewed that had a few stories in it. One of those was a Sally Painter story about a gargoyle and a witch that I just ate up with a spoon. This is in that same world...

When I was near the beginning I liked it a lot, was thinking it could be a 5 star read. Numerous missing words dropped it a star. Then the ending fizzled a bit, so 3 maybe 3.5 stars. Overall a good read.
