Stan Lee (born Stanley Martin Lieber) was an American writer, editor, creator of comic book superheroes, and the former president and chairman of Marvel Comics.
With several artist co-creators, most notably Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, he co-created Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, Thor as a superhero, the X-Men, Iron Man, the Hulk, Daredevil, the Silver Surfer, Dr. Strange, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Scarlet Witch, The Inhumans, and many other characters, introducing complex, naturalistic characters and a thoroughly shared universe into superhero comic books. He subsequently led the expansion of Marvel Comics from a small division of a publishing house to a large multimedia corporation.
I love the Fantastic Four and this was a really fun collection of stories featuring iconic villains. See Kirby draw Black Panther and the Inhumans in Annual #5 was great Black Panther looks amazing under Kirby. Then, the wild fast paced issue #100 that Lee and Kirby gave us was tons of fun, there wasn’t a lot of depth to it but it was break neck action that was fun to read. The real standout to me though, was issue #258, an absolutely beautiful Doctor Doom issue written and drawn by John Byrne. Byrne did such and amazing job in characterizing Doom, every action he took, every thought he had, such a fantastic look at doom and his country of Latveria.
