But before the baby heir can be located, Crystal must contend with a new power, one that could save her kingdom, or destroy it.

Adding to the madness, her sister has been taken prisoner for a crime hard to forgive, and her ally Ana has gone rogue, becoming an evil unlike any other.

In a world of never-ending chaos, Crystal must rely on the spirits of the past and the demons of the present in order to save her kingdom’s future, while also contending with a traitor in her blood. In order to rescue a child of innocence, would you break the ultimate taboo?

This is the worst of the series.

Went to the library with my niece, and she immediately ran to the entire Dreams Series by Tracy Millosovich, because the covers were pretty. She's all about princesses, so I helped her pick out a few books and we took them home.

Since then, we are on day three now where she has been having nightmares about Earth blowing up, and my sister hates my guts for letting her touch this. Lovely.

I was so tempted to write a review for the first two, Crystal and Killer, but I thought I'd save the vinegar for this tripe. So let's review.

For starters, the king is the worst person in the universe. I am convinced of this, because in the first book, right after his wife is murdered and his (clone??) daughter dies via explosion, (yeah, really) he seeks out Crystal, a bubble-headed nitwit with googoo eyes, living on his home planet's twin (that's Earth if you're keeping score, did I mention he's an alien?) so that he can kill her and put the soul of his dead wife into her. But after spitting on the memory of his dead daughter, who is like six by the way, he decides instead that Ms. Bubblehead is actually kinda hot, so he knocks her up. By the way, this is a book aimed at teenagers if you believe the Amazon age rating. So in the second book, he entrusts his out of wedlock baby to a pair of random strangers, and then acts surprised when the baby is kidnapped. Third book? He is actually worthless. He spends most of the book just snarling at people, and it's quite clear that children are pretty much disposable to him.

Bubblehead meanwhile is trying to put her family back together, after her soon to be sister in law decides to become a demon... because reasons. This clueless nitwit is told I don't know, maybe 100 times that Ana doesn't want to come home, and yet she still pushes the point... only for this entire thing to be dropped. Like for real, we do not even come back to it at all.

Oh and did I mention? This series is incredibly graphic. I can't even understand how this series made it to print. We had a live beheading in the first book, burning corpses and a teenager being beaten to death in the second book, and then I think someone actually was disintegrated alive via sword fight in this one. My niece was staying with me the weekend I made the stupid mistake of picking these books up at the library for her, so I got to have an entire weekend of hearing my niece have night terrors over the last few chapters. Lucky me, right?

There are plot holes big enough to drive a semi through. Crystal Dreams, we have Tara fighting a war and online harassment at the same time. And then POOF it's gone. Then she has a clone daughter. King Buttface puts out a blog where he is actively looking for her. Turns out? She died in front of him. Exploded. He spits on her memory. Why? Well this is just never explained again. His sister in law randomly becomes a 50 foot dragon demon. Why is she a demon? No reason. There is litterally nothing to explain one plot point to the next.

Oh and did I mention the outdated pop culture references yet? Oh, these are a hoot. I don't know if this was a random coincidence or just plain ignorance on behalf of the writer, but this book blatantly steals from Sailor Moon R. The main villains are identical to Alan and Ann, and for Christ's sakes, the baby is litterally named PRINCESS SERENITY and her previous life spirit... person... relative trying to kill her is actually named QUEEN SERENITY. Are you kidding me?? Stevie Wonder could have pointed this out. He's blind, old and doesn't watch anime. Oh! And we also have a Mortal Kombat tournament too, isn't this so 90's? Bubblehead even fights some crab demon thing in an action sequence I swear to God was lifted from Power Rangers.

Oh, and Bubblehead is pregnant again... fighting demons with a sword... in deep space... and King Buttface still won't put a ring on it, but will put her life into immediate danger. Gee, what a swell concept to teach underage girls. I'm sure mothers everywhere approve.

All in all, at least I didn't actually spend real money on these books, since again, they were at the library, but I want my weekend back. My niece hasn't stopped having night terrors since she read these books, and if I have to retread through one more giant, gaping plothole, I fear I may join her.

WOW....this story was by far my favorite in this series. It was full of action, suspense, and shocking secrets at the turn of every page. The characters were just as awesome, but the had a more powerful kick and more about their powers were revealed, and the story-line had me from the first page until the end. I was in shock and awe with the ending and am very anxious to see where this author ends up taking us in the final battle. I highly recommend this book!! There will be peace no matter what!
