The heroine was the worst tease. Ever. Strident, unpleasant and the hero wasn't much better, a typical old school alpha. He man- handled her a little, but that's it.

The author sets up an explanatiion for the h's virginal ways with a previous dead fiancee that the H reminds her of. Author drops the ball on that which would have added a nice balance and explanation as to why she blows so hot and cold. Honest to Pete, it's slobber, slobber, drool then "I hate you,; don't touch me" about ten times.

Yawn worthy.

I love those kind of old Harlequin novels,when the heroine stands up for her standards against the Playboy hero,even though she is deeply in the love with him,until they get their happy ending and get married,i would give it 4.5 rating,the novel was so intense but i was expecting more for the ending.
