The text is simple and straightforward. It's not always written in the most fun, entertaining way, but it gets the info across. The top right corner of the book doubles as a mini flip book. There were a few in here I as an adult was unfamiliar with, such as the Pyjama Nudibranch (actual name given in book) sea slug. I was also unaware about lobsters sometimes eating their own shell... almost like even they can't deny their deliciousness LOL
