Shocking

A very upsetting book to read, no child should have to go through this!!! Family should be something special not something to be ashamed of

Grandma's Funeral

I just finished the last of the K. Digital books .All 5 of them were 5 stars. Her and the Kat Ward series 1-7 were the stories that kept my attention the most.Real page turners and I do read lots of other genres like thrillers, true crime etc.,but for those of you that did find the Keri series...( I don't want to say enjoyable because child abuse is horrendous and these stories were very hard to read at times) I will say "interesting" and "page turners" then these are for you. Its amazing that these children survived the lives they did and became who they are even though it happened.Anyone who loves Maggie Hartley will also love these books She has a similar writing style.

Family Shame

I was very moved by this story. A grandfather to do this to a child, especially his granddaughter, is obscene. It is true that you can't tell a pedophile by looking at them. Most people think that it is lower class men that behave like this, but it runs throughout society. By telling the story of her ordeal, it could help others to get help if it is happening to someone they know.

Emily's story has broken my heart thinking she was going to stay with grandparents who loved her while her new baby brother and mum were recovering.Emilys parents loved her dearly they believed Emily was in safe hands only her grandfather was sexually assaulting her. later on we learn he did the same to his 2 daughters.Emily and her 2 aunties have a close and strong relationship Emily's dad felt guilty of what Emily went through he was blaming himself.im glad Emily got support

Spoiler alert! Sad story, but at least there was some satisfaction for the victim at the end. Unfortunate that the child kept it a secret for so long, and the grandfather was never confronted and charged.

Sad but ultimately uplifting

Emily, like many many abuse survivors kept it to herself for years. Her cathartic moment was almost lost, but the story came out in the end, to reveal her abuser for what he was, totally evil.

Excellent

Thank you for sharing this , you are very courageous to put to words this traumatic experience. The more these stories are told the easier it will be to eventually put a stop to this kind of abuse.

My heart is so broken

This would be an absolute nightmare…to think that stupid old lady could let her children and her granddaughter be raped by this monster… it had a perfect ending though.

Captivating - not for the faint of heart but good reference for those who have suffered abuse or are trying to understand the ramifications of abuse

How awful for a child so young to go through such a degrading time. Especially knowing her grand knew everything and did nothing....

Yet another emotional book from Kate Skylark. How any body can stand by and let abuse knowingly happen is beyond comprehension.
